The staff was so kind and happy all the time, they helped me a lot and they speak English, which is pretty rare in China, even in some hotels. They gave me a map and recommended some places, also asked a taxi for me for the next day that I had my train to Beijing in the morning. The shared dorm was clean, had shampoo, air conditioner, clean sheets, futon, and pillow. Also curtains for privacy. I enjoyed my stay a lot. They even gave me a little souvenir on my way out and free water. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Amazing price and just five minutes walking from North Gate of the old city. Supermarket right on the corner.

Staff were proactive and friendly, arranged luggage pickup from the city gate, and communicated smoothly in English. The location is perfect for walking the lanes yet peaceful once inside the courtyard. Tips for Western travelers: cars can’t enter the old town, so message the hotel for pickup; wear comfortable shoes; and leave time to simply enjoy the courtyard—part heritage museum, part modern gallery. A flawless stay.

Staying at this hotel in Pingyao felt like discovering a historical gem. The building is beautiful and full of character, making the experience truly special. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. They also offer a free shuttle service to the train station, which was very convenient. The rooms are lovely and well equipped, with all the amenities you could possibly need. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Pingyao.

Objekt 五福居 Five Blessings Hotel nalazi se 1,4 km od centra odredišta ‘Datong’, na manje od 1 km od znamenitosti Nine Dragon Screen, te nudi klimatiziran smještaj popločani dio dvorišta, besplatne... The staff, especially the boss was really nice, he picked us up and introduced some spots in datong. Upgraded the room for us and it was very comfortable, spacious and beautiful.. Location was slightly further from there the activities are but adds on to the traditional vibes. The boss also offered to pick us up when we are done, but we chose to walk back after a good meal.

We travelled in a group of 3 pax and requested for an additional bed; we were very happy to see this already arranged by the time we checked in after a long flight and given an upgrade to the executive size. Room was clean, spacious and bedding comfortable with a Nespresso machine in the room. We also enjoyed the diverse spread at breakfast - with lots of local fare and a good balance of non- local to choose from. We also appreciated the amazing speed of the staff who responded to our requests with friendliness and alacrity - the concierge desk, the bellboys and the ladies at the breakfast counters were very helpful during our stay. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Taiyuan
