Situated in Pingyao, 200 metres from Ming and Qing Street , Hongyuyuan Family Guesthouse boasts a restaurant and free WiFi. It is located in Ancient City of Pingyao, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Very charming room and courtyard right on the main road by the South Gate. The location cannot be beaten. The family room (2 double beds) is charming and the courtyard is a typical traditional court with the red lanterns. Staff was extremely friendly, they explained everything and let us keep the room until 3pm at no extra charge.

The room is very beautiful, clean and there is all you need for a comfortable stay. Ji is amazing. I highly recommend a short or longer stay at the Ji Family Courtyard Inn.

The staff, especially the boss was really nice, he picked us up and introduced some spots in datong. Upgraded the room for us and it was very comfortable, spacious and beautiful.. Location was slightly further from there the activities are but adds on to the traditional vibes. The boss also offered to pick us up when we are done, but we chose to walk back after a good meal.

We travelled in a group of 3 pax and requested for an additional bed; we were very happy to see this already arranged by the time we checked in after a long flight and given an upgrade to the executive size. Room was clean, spacious and bedding comfortable with a Nespresso machine in the room. We also enjoyed the diverse spread at breakfast - with lots of local fare and a good balance of non- local to choose from. We also appreciated the amazing speed of the staff who responded to our requests with friendliness and alacrity - the concierge desk, the bellboys and the ladies at the breakfast counters were very helpful during our stay. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Taiyuan
