Our hotel room was spacious and very comfortable with all the modern necessities, We were also given yummy treats of cookies and black vinegar (a speciality of Datong and Pingyao). Breakfast was very good and the serving was big. The location of hotel is very good cos it is near the West Gate and the historical buildings and restaurants are all within walking distance in the old city. The staff at the hotel are just excellent. Alice the manager is such a vibrant, knowledgeable and helpful lady who speaks very good english.

We loved our stay in Datong. The hotel has the best location in the heart of the old town to enjoy the atmosphere of the old town fully including night streets and morning monasteries quietness. Hotel s atmosphere is unique, old-style with all the comfort, and is like a museum decorated with so many exponats. people in hotel were totally helpful and kind and breakfast fantastic, thank you again and see you again! P.s. please note, it is common in china that in many hotels there are no wardrobes, which is to be considered if you are staying longterm.

The owners are very sweet and helpful. The room and bathroom were huge and had everything we needed. The breakfast and dinner that we got were yummy! All in all, a lovely experience!

Situated in Pingyao, 200 metres from Ming and Qing Street , Hongyuyuan Family Guesthouse boasts a restaurant and free WiFi. It is located in Ancient City of Pingyao, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Great place to stay. Friendly, helpful staff. Great food. Wish I stayed longer.

Perfect location, very detailed decorated interior, super guest friendly and client oriented, ideally clean. Personnel help was extremely good (they even gave us a bag of tasty things for the train)

Oh my goodness! This was a treat :) it is in the old city walls where there is tons of shopping, eating and sightseeing. We were also easily able to book a tour that picked us up at the hotel for the big sites light the pagoda, hanging temple and grottos. We wanted an English guide so booked through another source, but the hotel would also arrange for a taxi service if you wanted. The city wall is just across the street and you can ride bikes up there and during the evening there are shops and bright decorations. The 9 dragging screen with the glasses tiles is also a short walk. Museums, pagodas, temples, quaint streets and busy markets are all within walking distance. It is a bit away from the new city center and the south railway station (where all high speed trains come in) … BUT they arrange for free transportation to and from the hotel. It was apparent at every step of the way that those working were eager to please and wanted the stay to be perfect. They upgraded our room free of charge when they saw we had two kids and only 1 bed. The larger room was available so they have it to us to make the nights more comfortable. They also provide a free breakfast each morning and the food was outstanding. They made it to order and over fed us each day. Laundry machine and detergent is available for use. The facilities are very newly updated and clean. We wished we could have stayed for longer.

Nastanitev JW Marriott Hotel Taiyuan se nahaja v mestu Taiyuan, 4,2 km od znamenitosti Shanxi University, in ponuja pogled na mesto. We travelled in a group of 3 pax and requested for an additional bed; we were very happy to see this already arranged by the time we checked in after a long flight and given an upgrade to the executive size. Room was clean, spacious and bedding comfortable with a Nespresso machine in the room. We also enjoyed the diverse spread at breakfast - with lots of local fare and a good balance of non- local to choose from. We also appreciated the amazing speed of the staff who responded to our requests with friendliness and alacrity - the concierge desk, the bellboys and the ladies at the breakfast counters were very helpful during our stay. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Taiyuan
