I absolutely loved my stay at this beautiful hotel! The gardens were gorgeous and gave such a relaxing vibe. One of the main reasons I chose this place was the owner’s two lovely dogs — they were so friendly and made the stay even more special. The room was big, spotless, and had everything I needed. Breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect, right in the heart of the city. I felt so comfortable and welcome here — I’ll definitely be coming back! Mandy was extremely helpful and booked for us all the activities. She was always keeping in touch with with us during our day trips , making sure everything goes smoothly.

Boasting a patio with garden views, a casino and a garden, 吾韵庭院客栈 can be found in Lijiang, close to Wenchang Palace and 400 metres from Water Wheels. I was so happy to stay here! The courtyard is clean and warm, the garden is full of flowers and plants, the room is clean and transparent, the bedding is soft, the hot water is stable and the sound insulation is good, there is no noise at night, the boss recommends a reasonable route, have fun, and live a super satisfying life!

Located in Lijiang, 400 metres from White Horse Dragon Pond Temple, 木老爷客栈 provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. The lighting in the room is super good, and the morning sun shines in, which is warm. The bed is large and comfortable, and the family of three lives without crowding at all. The dogs in the inn are super cute and will follow us around the yard.

Situated in Kunming, Lanyee international hotel has a fitness centre, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. Just a 15 minute ride from the Kunming airport and the hotel provides a nice new van for personal pick up and drop off. (By the way - you meet the hotel shuttle van 🚐 just 100 meters left of Arrivals Gate 1 as you walk out of the Kunming Airport). A great value and an extremely well appointed hotel room with very nice touches and great furnishings. Everything felt very new and clean and definitely one of the nicer 4 star hotels in the airport area. Good working AC and very helpful front desk staff - including Joyce who helped me with my WIFI. Breakfast is high quality but is mostly Chinese style (which I like) with Rice noodles 🍜 and a few hot Chinese dishes. Hotel 🏨 is in a little shopping area (with a bunch of other similar airport hotels) that have some tea shops and local restaurants. Great choice for a layover at the Kunming airport.

Set in Lijiang, 1.4 km from Nanmen Bridge, 熹宿 Xisu Designer Garden Inn offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The manager extended a warm welcome and offered us excellent suggestions for places to visit in and around Lijiang. The inn's staff is also incredibly considerate. The breakfast is simple but delicious, and the room design is quite appealing as well.

Set in Shangri-La, Tavern Hostel仁和客栈 features a garden, shared lounge, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is located 600 metres from Guishan Park. Super cozy place, both the private room and dorms (tried both). In a quiet alley in the old town, serves good and fairly priced food and most of all very accommodating owners - helping and giving advice and also really nice to just talk with them. Would always book here when I’m in Shangri La.

Set in Dali, 4.6 km from Goddess of Mercy Temple, Blue Sea Hotel offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The owner really looked after us well. Our stay was extremely comfortable. We booked the room with two beds and it was spacious and clean. They provide simple breakfast, it was yummy and homely. Location was superb, close to bike hire and China's tuktuk. We rented bikes based on the owner's recommendation for two consecutive days with great value. Two adult bikes and two kids bikes. The only thing I will note is that the shower does not drain quickly enough (so it pools), but this is very minor and did not impact our experience at all. At first glance, we thought it would be difficult to get food. But this is not the case. There are many eateries available within a short walking distance. Download Amap and search for restaurants near me and you will find hidden gems. One of which passion fruit fish.

Attractively set in the Wuhua District district of Kunming, Moon and Chalice Boutique Hotel is situated 1.5 km from Golden Horse and Jade Rooster, 1.6 km from Jiaosanqiao Station and 2.4 km from... I loved the location in the old town and the tasteful decoration with really nice details and attention. Also the manager Lili gave very useful tips on what to do in Kunming and assisted me with travel arrangements as well !

Set in Lijiang, 600 metres from Nanmen Bridge, Lijiang Gemmer Hotel features views of the mountain. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. The hotel is located near the old town and easily contacted by wechat, the owner is friendly and responded us very quickly. You can book car service to pick up from airport here with reasonable price. The same with tours around the city such as trip to Snow Moutain, Lugu lake,.... Room is nice, clean, and warm with air-conditioner, hair dryer, shampoo and everything else, I don't need to bring any of those with me in this trip. Especially if you love cake, try the rose cake from the hotel. It is so good I have to ask the owner to order for me to bring home as gift. They offer better prices than you go buy it yourself out in the old town. To sum up, it was a very pleased experience with Gemmer Hotel and Lijiang Old Town.
