Fantastic beach resort. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and dinners were nice. The bar has great vistas and on the roof there is a telescope so I got to see Saturn and its rings. Rooms have those Japanese automatic toilets which I had never experienced before.

Located in front of Barbacoa Beach this eco-lodge offers rooms with garden views and a private beach, within a 10-minute drive from Playa Blanca Beach. It is hard to explain how amazing this place is. It is an oasis, a paradise on earth. From the room full of beautiful, surprising details, to the spectacular garden, nature and beach around. The food was wonderful. The staff was wonderful. Would travel from Canada again to visit this place.

Hotel Playa Scondida Barú is a rustic, intimate, and cozy accommodation on Barú Island, very close to Cholón Bay—ideal for travelers seeking tranquility, comfort, and an authentic experience. The hotel is nice, Caribbean style rooms, nice little pool,a small pier where you can sunbathe and a little piece of beach. The hotel is incredible peaceful as it only accommodate a small number of guests and therefore the attention of the staff is unbelievable. Lucrecia and Sergio especially are amazing and they will help with any requests you have with a kindness that you'll never see anywhere else. The hotel also offers transportation service with a private boat so you can reach nearby tourist attraction( just ask and they will take you anywhere). Very satisfied and will probably visit again.

Carlos is just the best and we loved our stay with him and his dogs and would return anytime. He's also a great chef and Spanish-teacher who makes you feel very well taken care of during your stay.
