This place was only about 2 or 3 blocks from the town square where all of the restaurants are. For such a small town, there were quite many restaurant options. We came to see the Nevada del Ruiz which is probably what every other tourist was here for. The host here was amazing! They were making fresh empanadas after we got back from the volcano and they sell them for 2000 COP each (about 0.50¢) and they were delicious! I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Finca Ecoparaiso in Ibagué provides accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Very friendly service, I arrived late than expected, but they made me a bit of food anyways - much needed after the long bus journey there! The property is amazing and beautiful, so many animals! The dogs will bark when you arrive, but they are friendly. The location is wonderful and provides views of both the city and mountains. I was able to take a bus to see cascada la plata, and the same bus line goes the other way into the center of Ibague. When I was leaving I completely forgot that I needed cash to pay, but they were nice enough to take me into town on a motorcycle (10 mins) to go to an ATM.
