Exceptional modern stylish hostel set on a quiet backstreet 5 minutes walk from the centre and the beach. There is a good supermarket right there to get all your food to cook in the beautiful kitchen surroundings. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff work very hard to keep it that way, and they were all very friendly and helpful to us. Would definitely recommend staying here 😊

Beautifully designed, new bungalows in the middle of a tranquil oasis of a garden with delightful pool. Also with private outdoor shower! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Some other travellers mentioned it was far from the center but it wasn’t an issue for me, I walked every day and it was about 35 minutes along the beach. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel in the middle of nature and have a great night’s sleep while being close to Puerto Viejo.

Comprising a garden and a terrace, Smile Jungle Hostel is a recently renovated accommodation in Puerto Viejo set close to Cocles Beach. Such a sweet spot! ❤️ In the middle of the jungle, woke to the howler monkeys and watched them in the trees while drinking my coffee. Breakfast was delicious and the vibe at the hostel is just so nice. Reminded me of going to hostels ten years ago when it felt like a little community. The owner is a very sweet person so friendly and helpful.

KAÑIK APART HOTEL in Puerto Viejo provides adults-only accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. We loved the location as it was out of the bustle of town and being set right in the jungle is amazing. The rooms are beautiful with attention to detail such as providing some basic cooking needs such as oil and vinegar was appreciated. Javier and Sebastian are wonderful hosts.

Set within 36 km of Universidad EARTH and 43 km of Ebal Rodriguez Stadium in Siquirres, Siquirres Mountain Lodge offers accommodation with seating area. The property is beautiful- amazing view, easy to navigate, lots of wildlife. Close to town but without any of the noise, it is secluded and peaceful. The owners are very friendly and take care to be responsive and helpful. Their homemade breakfast is delicious.
