We had a very relaxing stay at Mamallacta Lodge. The owner, Rosario, and the rest of the staff were very welcoming from the moment we were picked up from the airport until we departed the lodge. The property is very close to the Termas de Papallacta at a much more affordable rate.

On this visit due to a mechanical the morning flight never left Cuenca so I arrived after reception should have been closed. I had called ahead and was told the guard would have my key but in fact reception remained open waiting for me to arrive.

The location is excellent, the staff are excellent and the food is delicious, highly recommend if you are interested in birds as it has excellent feeders on the patio and torrent duck on the river
