Close to the main parks and places to eat/drink and it felt safe after dark/early morning. Staff were nice and helped with early checkout!

Set in Chimborazo and only 15 km from Chimborazo Volcano, Chimborazo Basecamp offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Excellent cozy environment breakfast was made when ordered Fresh,location cannot expect a better view of the mountains. Great weather overall 10.

Set in Riobamba, 48 km from Chimborazo Volcano, Asher Hospedaje y Turismo offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Everything was just perfect! Unfortunately, we stayed only one night, but this place is just great and the hosts could not have been more helpful, the communication was excellent and the coffee was the best ever. This small hotel is not only new (opened three years ago) but also perfectly maintained and super clean. Tucked in a quiet and safe corner, in a short walking distance to a shopping mall (2 mins away), taxis and ATMs, the hotel is also close to the city centre, so we even walked downtown (15 mins) and back in the evening. The beds meet the standards of a four-star hotel, so you can sleep comfortably after chilling in bed watching Netflix and resting before climbing Chimborazo.

Villa Bonita Hostel is set in Riobamba and offers a shared lounge. The property has garden and inner courtyard views, and is 49 km from Chimborazo Volcano. Breakfast was great and there were a lot of travellers from all over who were very friendly and easy to talk to. The bed was really comfy and allowed us to get a great night's sleep to enjoy our time in Riobamba.

Located in Riobamba, 14 km from San Andrés, Casa de Mármol provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. Irma have such a warm welcome to Casa de Marmol, and really went above and beyond to make sure my visit in Riobamba was fantastic. Warm, friendly and helpful. They helped set me up with a tour to hike and bike at Chimborazo, and provided great recommendations for what to see and where to eat in town. Room was comfortable, and the bed cosy. I didn’t use, but there was also some comfy shared spaces for relaxing at the end of the day.

Community Hostel Alausi features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Alausí. This 5-star hostel offers a tour desk and luggage storage space. The hostel has family rooms. Everything!!!! The location, comfortable beds, hot water (the water was actually hot, not only semi-warm like in other places!!!), free cafecito and tea all day long! Highly recommend this place!

Lodges in just a spectacular location at the base of the volcano. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Set in a charming country estate featuring 2 restaurants and 2 bars, Hostería La Andaluza offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and plasma TV in Riobamba. Breakfast is provided and BBQ. It is a living museum! Great food! Lots of activities! Unexpected incredible spa!

Set in a country-style house with elegant Colonial décor, Abraspungo has rooms with free Wi-Fi in Riobamba. Hotel Hacienda Abraspungo has Spanish galleries that open to the garden. It was amazing. The room was clean and spacious. The overall place was really good, the breakfast was nice, they even started a bonfire for us with marshmallows.
