Lagoon Hotel Chugchilan in Chugchilán provides adults-only accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Stayed in this hotel in the middle of the Quilotoa loop hike, it was comfortable and spacious, the host is lovely and really nice. There was hot water in the shower and soap was available.

Set in Chugchilán, Hostal Doña Clarita Inn features accommodation with a public bath and an open-air bath. The incredibly warm welcome of smiles and beautiful hospitality, along with a happy dog and cat, it felt like we were stepping into a home. It was the best and calmest place with A variety of teas, boiling water, drinking water, coffee, homemade cookies and banana bread upon arrival with the fire lit for us to get all cosy after our walk along the trail. Super friendly vibes, community dinner was exceptional and the vegan option was the best I’ve had in Ecuador. The views over the valley are beautiful and clear sky’s meant for tea under the stars in the evening :)

Cuscungo Cotopaxi Hostel & Lodge has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Chasqui. Perfect hostel to visit the Cotopaxi. The girl at reception was very nice and helpful. Very good breakfast and the tour to the Cotopaxi, reserved directly on site, has been great!

Llullu Llama Mountain Lodge has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Hacienda Provincia. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. This is a must visit if you are doing the Quilatoa or just passing through. I personally recommend staying at least two nights here as it’s that amazing. The food is comforting. The staff is amazing and the tranquility is unmatched. This truly is one of the highlights of doing the hike, so don’t be in a rush to leave.

With mountain views, Hostal el Vaquero is set in Chugchilán and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and children's playground. I rarely give 10 points but this place deserves it! yes it can be chilly at night, yes it is in the middle of the countryside (so you need a car to reach it) but the kindness of the owners are exceptional! My son got altitude sickness and the owners did their best to cure him + they helped us finding accommodation in other part of Ecuador without hesitation (since our mobil didn't work here). The dinner and the breakfast are tasty, fresh homemade and plenty. The same applies to the breakfast. The garden of the house is beautiul and well maintained and there is a nice panorama over the canyon. Quilotoa lake is a short drive from here. The hotel has turkish bath and sauna but we didn't try them at the end. The wifi is strong. :)

Located in Isinliví, Hostal Taita Cristobal offers accommodation with seating area. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The staff is always so kind, this was my second time staying here and they really make the experience great. The included dinner is amazing, and the set up is great to meet new people. There are plenty of blankets for the chilly weather.

Very clean cosy rustic style room and hotel. I found the staff to be warm and friendly and the hotel very well run. There is a nice restaurant area and good food. I took a tour with the hotel to see Cotopaxi and I was very happy with the experience. They also have many interesting animals in the garden to pet. A great place to stay if you are visiting Cotopaxi.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure everything was perfect for my stay. Their service truly stood out and made me feel right at home. The setting was great, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The accommodations were comfortable, and while the nights can get quite chilly due to the lack of heating, the hostel provides exceptionally warm blankets. Once I was under the covers, I was perfectly cozy and had a great night’s sleep. If you’re looking for a unique and immersive stay on the Quilotoa hiking loop with warm hospitality, The Hostal Cloud Forest is a fantastic choice. I would definitely recommend it to nature lovers and adventurers alike!
