This was my second time staying here. I was only able to book 7 nights on booking.com but extended my stay another 3 nights. First room was on the beach side and was very quiet, with a great view of the ocean from room/balcony. Comfortable bed, hot showers, daily room cleaning. Shared kitchen was basic but adequate, similar to others overseas, and I made most of my meals at the hotel. Free filtered water dispenser with both hot and cold options. Hotel is on the far end of the beach so quieter area, yet only 10 minute walk to town. Host was very nice and caring, one of the best I have had in my extensive travels overseas. I came down with food poisoning on the day of arrival and couldn't leave my room for very long for the first 2 days. I was able to have breakfast at the hotel for a reasonable cost the first morning. The host ordered dinner to be delivered for me and checked to make sure it had arrived. Then my phone wouldn't charge. Host told me where I could get it repaired, and then tracked down the hours they were open after I walked there only to find shop was closed with no opening hours posted. I was able to stay at the hotel after checkout before leaving on the 3 PM ferry.

The communal terrace was just above the Flamingos pond with at least 8-10 flamingos every day and a few ducks & other birds. It was so relaxing & beautiful, really exceptional :) Also very quiet neighbourhood we slept really well.

Very nice to have 1.5 bathrooms rather than just one. Air conditioning both in the living area and in the bedroom. Early check-in allowed--a big plus! Nice location close to all the tourist spots. The hosts agreed to store our bags for us in their office on our last day after checkout, AND they even opened up the office early to take our bags, since we were heading out on an early morning tour. They did not have to do that, and it was a nice touch.
