Albergue Laganares - pilgrims hostel - features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in San Nicolás del Real Camino. The place is like a hidden gem in a small village before Sahagun. It is run by a lovely Italian family and their warm and sunny personality makes you feel like at home. A very clean dormitory and showers, but the most exciting was their food. I was looking forward to their meal sooooo much after spending several days walking the camino and eating watery soups and tortilla…And yes, that dinner was absolutely delicious, very generous servings and made the same way as you can get the meal in Italy homecooked by mamma italiana❤️We ate pasta with pesto and cheese, meat balls with peas and mixed salad and full fat greek yogurt with strawberry sauce and nuts for dessert. Yummy😋I was so full I didn ´t eat anything the following day and walked 38km👍Do yourself a favor, stay there overnight (forget sleeping in Sahagun), eat their delish meal and have fun👏🌞

Set in Alba de los Cardaños and with Fuentes Carrionas y Fuente Cobre Nature Reserve reachable within 50 km, Hotel Pico Espiguete offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free... Despite the fact that it was very warm when we were there and there’s no air-conditioning, we were perfectly cool in our room and the host and hostess were fantastic. The meals were exceptional great value for money and an absolutely beautiful location.

Casa Tia Paula is set in Carrión de los Condes, on the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route. These rustic apartments offer free Wi-Fi, a free laundry service and bike storage. The Apartment unit is very nice, big living room even have jacuzzi... have laundry but not dryer.. the host is so helpful guidance us all facilities... the location not in the center as after crossing the river... walking distance to restaurant and commercial..

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Casas Rurales El Mayorazgo is a country house situated in a historic building in Cordovilla de Aguilar, 38 km from Iglesia de Santa Columba. This was by far the best accommodation I rented during my visit to Spain. It is a very special place, dating from 1600, thick stone walls, huge wooden beamed ceilings. The owners met us at the property and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay. Its location near the Montaña Palentinas is excellent, with easy driving to fantastic mountain hiking. I would highly recommend this property.

Located within 30 km of Palencia Cathedral and 30 km of Palencia Bus Station, Hotel Rural San Hipólito provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Támara. This hotel is highly recommended. The staff is super friendly and speaks very well english, the place is very cosy. Locals gather around the bar in the evening while kids are playing on the plaza. It makes you feel like home. The bar is very nice and the evening dinner was handmade by the owners and delicious. The village is very quiet and relaxing.
