Situated within 37 km of Kolari Train Station in Äkäslompolo, B&B Adventures offers accommodation with seating area. We loved our stay here. The room was warm and cozy. There is a small living area for the rooms to use which is very cosy and relaxing. There is a boiler available for guests to use (with tea and coffee) in the living room, which was nice! The accommodation is located very conviently walking distance to everything in Akaslompolo (restaurants, lake, supermarket, nature trails) and I loved coming back every evening to the cosy space. We had a car and had free parking behind the house. The kitchen is not available for guests to cook meals, but they lent us cutlery and cups for us to occasionally make some instant soup/noodles for dinner. Breakfast was served very nicely and shared with the other guests. They were also accommodating for vegan diets with cheese, cold cut and milk alternatives. They offer a lot of activities as well for anyone who would like to partake.

TaloYlläs is a fantastic place to stay, particularly in winter. All of the rooms have a certain level of charm as they are adorned with miscellaneous items from Äkäslompolo. Joni the host gives you a solid run down of how things are setup. The sauna is great, you can book a time to use it, it's clean, modern and private. When the lake is frozen it's quicker to get to the main part of town instead of walking around the outside. Some snow gear is available at the accomodation too, you can use the Kick Sledge or the Snowshoes as you see fit which is fantastic. I saw some places that rent Snowshoes for 15 Euro Per Day, so having these around to use when you see fit is handy. Toilets also have a handheld bidet which is a win!

It had a fully equipped kitchen, and the building also had a ski room and a place to wax equipment. The location was perfect, short walking distance from the slopes, restaurants, and tour centre.

Lodge 67°N Lapland is located in the centre of Äkäslompolo and at the foot of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Free WiFi and parking are available. It is a cozy, peaceful, small inn. The people who run it treated us like friends. They answered all our questions about the area, checked in about how are experiences were, and were just friendly and helpful in every way! There is a washer and dryer, fabulous saunas, and delicious buffet breakfast. We could walk to ski trails, shops and restaurants. We didn't really need a car.

Offering 5 log cottages by Ylläs Mountain, Tunturioravat is a 5-minute walk from central Äkäslompolo. All cottages have wooden interiors, free Wi-Fi access and a private sauna. We had an absolutely perfect stay. The apartment was spotless, very cosy, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. We felt at home right away. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.
