Boasting a terrace and located by a forest, Kyriad Périgueux BOULAZAC is situated in Saint-Laurent-sur-Manoire. I only stayed one night, but the room was very spacious and extremely clean. The mattress was excellent and very comfortable. The pillow, however, was not great, so if you are sensitive to pillows, I recommend bringing your own. Having an electric car, I also really appreciated the Tesla charger right next to the hotel — this was a great surprise.

Located just 150 metres from the medieval centre of Sarlat and housed in a beautiful building, the Hotel Montaigne offers comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Excellent location, friendly and very helpful staff; as I had an issue with my rental car company they provided all the help they could. Highly recommended!

Le Mas Brantôme, a property with a garden, is set in Brantôme, 18 km from Bourdeilles Castle, 22 km from Périgueux Golf Course, as well as 50 km from Jumilhac Castle. The establishment was amazing, a newly renovated barn house with great design. The hosts Anne and Laurent are super welcoming! Our stay was perfect!

Maison Aurinko, a property with a garden and a bar, is situated in Thenon, 41 km from Sarlat-la-Canéda Train Station, 17 km from Lascaux, as well as 16 km from Lascaux IV. Breakfast in the garden overlooking the valley was superb and the vista stunning. Anthony and Marion gave a big warm friendly welcome. Their food and service was excellent. The gourmet dinner we had one night was one of the best we have ever had topped off with a lovely digestive! It was a great base to drive from to visit various parts and places of the Dordogne. The room was immaculate, comfortable and well set up with its own entrance.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Château de Monsac is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Monsac, 24 km from Bergerac Train Station. Our hosts were delightful and so welcoming. Our room and terrace, despite the rain was perfect and beautifully & lovingly restored as was the rest of the chateau over many years. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious and they welcomed our dog as long as she was leashed at all times naturally, as not to disturb the resident cats and pony’s.

Set in Boulazac, Richard Lequet Domaine gastronomique du Val d Atur features a saltwater pool. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. It was a perfect stay. The hospitality, the room, the dinner, the breakfast. Was a lovely break on a long drive.

Located in Excideuil, 42 km from Lascaux and 16 km from Hautefort Castle, Chez Sylvie provides spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Excellent location, just outside town, but feeling rural and very peaceful. Dylvie took our booking at very short notice. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. It has everything you need including outside space and parking. We stayed in November and it was warm and cosy. Highly recommended!

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Chambre privative dans ferme rénovée à 7mn de Périgueux is situated in Champcevinel. I've rated this excellent because of its value for money for what it is. This was a safe, private, comfortable, clean, cool room with an en-suite shower and toilet. Plus there was a kettle which on my travels seems increasingly rare! The wifi was excellent and the breakfast was simple but delicious consisting of different bread toasts and spreads. The coffee with breakfast in the morning was great. Very friendly service all the time. Thank you! There are two beds but the double is a small double, so to my mind the room is for the sole traveller or a couple.
