There was a live DJ about 20 meters from our room in the outdoor lounge and party area, but with the terrace door closed, it was absolute silence inside the room! Nespresso machine, good dark curtains and a quiet airco. This was such a perfect sleep on our route to Spain that we booked it again for the return trip (and we rarely visit the same hotel twice because its part of the fun to explore new places)

Located 300 meters from the A75 Motorway, this hotel offers modern, soundproofed rooms with free Wi-Fi and private bathroom with shower. Saint-Flour Train Station is a 5-minute drive away. Close to highway, ideal to stay overnight on long trip. Room is clean, service is good and quick. Big plus is that you can park the car right in front of the door of the room. Simple but good breakfast starting early in the morning (around 7AM). The room was in a good temperature.

This 19th-century hotel is located in the centre of beautiful Mont Dore, and makes a wonderful base for exploring the Massif du Sancy. Beautiful, grand old hotel in the heart of Mont-Dore, perfectly located for walking around downtown. The breakfast was outstanding—eggs, pastries, hot oats, and more (French eggs really are superior!). Our room was lovely, with a full bed and a twin, ideal since I tend to twitch at night. Just note there’s no lift/elevator, which may matter for some travelers.

Auberge du Prieuré ligger i Saint-Angel, 22 kilometer fra Neuvic d'Ussel Golf Course, og har en terrasse, røykfrie rom og gratis WiFi. The auberge provides everything you need when travelling and the rooms etc have been recently constructed to a very good standard. Breakfast was not provided but croissants etc were obtained from a nearby patisserie to accompany coffee provided in the restaurant adjoining the auberge. Saint Angel was good for an evening stroll.

I Saint-Flour, 29 kilometer fra Col d'Entremont, ligger Maison Côté Halle "La chambre du Parc", som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en terrasse. A really excellent little room, comfortable and clean with lovely attention to detail. The location is perfect, right in the old town. Annick was extremely welcoming and looked after us very well. The breakfast, partly homemade, was a lovely feature. It also made a big difference to have a private off-road car parking space. All in all, highly recommended.

I Saint-Georges, 28 kilometer fra Aurillac kongressenter, ligger Caldera hébergement et activités d'altitude, som har en fellesstue, gratis privat parkering og en terrasse. Everything & Everyone - including the access to the communal kitchen with lovely plate ware you’d only find in the most lovely of restaurants, undoubtedly sourced from local artisans.

I Lezoux, 26 kilometer fra Zénith d'Auvergne konsertsal, ligger Château de Codignat, som har et sesongåpent utendørsbasseng, gratis privat parkering, en hage og en terrasse. Roen og bassenget samt hyggelige ansatte. Et virkelig sjarmerende sted.
