The rooms were perfectly cozy and comfortable, the staff incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommended!

Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. What a wonderful hotel! Small enough to be cosy and intimate and big enough to offer great service, rooms and amenities. The staff were amazing, especially Sam who looked after our every need. The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Location, our room was comfortable, shower wonderful. Great breakfast and staff friendly. We’ve been here before and will return again
