Such a lovely cosy, comfortable and dog friendly place. The staff (Sean and Helen) were exceptionally kind and helpful. I was travelling with my brand new puppy and they made it so much easier for me. Can’t recommend this property enough and we will definitely be back.

Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. What a wonderful hotel! Small enough to be cosy and intimate and big enough to offer great service, rooms and amenities. The staff were amazing, especially Sam who looked after our every need. We will definitely be back. Thank you for your amazing hospitality

The room was stunning, I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I had the best night sleep. The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Location, our room was comfortable, shower wonderful. Great breakfast and staff friendly. We’ve been here before and will return again
