Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Lovely building, it makes you suddenly feel at home Very helpful and lovely staff, they provided information, great breakfast and keep the place spotless!

The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Everything! it was so comfortable. The room was one of the nicest we stayed in during our vacation. the village was right there and charming. Breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly & professional. Highly recommended

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

Set in the village of Bowness, Latimer House Guest House offers 4-star accommodation with views of its surrounding gardens and of the village. The room was stunning, I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I had the best night sleep. The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. Barely a 5 minute walk down to the lakeside, with plenty bars and food places to choose from nearby

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Close to town centre, plenty of parking space, tasty breakfast, well maintained room and host hospitality

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Excellent location. Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.

Set in 14 acres of landscaped grounds next to Furness Abbey, Abbey House Hotel offers luxurious rooms with historic features. Guests can enjoy free WiFi and free on-site parking. The room was warm and welcoming. We booked 50 minutes earlier, the receptionist said, The room is ready now. Beautiful grounds to walk around. Felt like one of the elites staying there to be honest. The breakfast was really good and plenty of choice as we sat in this amazing place for our breakfast. Staff are all lovely people. The cleaners were friendly and smiley. Really impressed by the whole experience will visit again.
