Bare 30 kilometer fra Thirlwall Castle og 36 kilometer fra Brougham Castle ligger Ashleigh House, som tilbyr overnatting i Carlisle. Leeanne, the owner made sure everything was great. Up to and including carrying my bag up to my room. Breakfast was relaxed and filled my needs.

Red Dragon Inn ligger i Kirkby Lonsdale, med Trough of Bowland bare 28 kilometer unna. Overnattingsstedet har en restaurant, røykfrie rom, gratis WiFi og en bar. Very cozy and charming place! It was our stopover between England and Scotland, and it didn't disappoint. Set in a quaint little town, this inn is right in the heart of it all. The rooms were perfectly cozy and comfortable, the staff incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommended!

Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

Your perfect lakes escape begins here, at our family-run hotel situated in the bustling village of Braithwaite. The room is clean. The breakfast is superb. The price is of great value. The restaurant offers also nice food for lunch and dinner. Dessert is a delight. The location is slightly away from the crowd but still very accessible to most attractions around. It’s definitely our choice when we’ll do a similar trip in the future.

Set in the village of Bowness, Latimer House Guest House offers 4-star accommodation with views of its surrounding gardens and of the village. The room was stunning, I couldn’t have asked for anything better and I had the best night sleep. The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. Barely a 5 minute walk down to the lakeside, with plenty bars and food places to choose from nearby

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Excellent location. Was able to purchase early parking and check in. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fruit juices, fruit, yogurt, granola and cereals and a great selection of cooked breakfast choices.
