We had a lovely and warm stay. The small cottage is outside the main house and feels like being in the jungle. Basic facilities but included everything what was needed. The hosts are super chill and great to talk to. We learned a lot about the Mayan culture and coffee production since both of them are involved. Even though being sick during the stay, we got amazing support and help whenever needed. Thanks for everything, it was an unforgettable experience.

Lesbia and Julio are very warm and welcoming hosts. They made me feel like at home, we had nice conversations and it was a great pleasure to stay with them for some days. My room was huge with a big balcony directly above the water - very cool! The location is not in the Flores Island but in San Miguel - so if you search for a calmer non touristic area that's your choice! From Flores it is easy to arrive with a small boat in about 5 mins. Also recommended to book the tour to Tikal etc. and transports with them, they offer for a good price. And it is helpful to know some Spanish as their English is limited (but Julio is learning!) 😊 muchas gracias 🥰

We really liked the Lake location. You can walk into town for a coffee or a meal or get your breakfast and dinner there. We enjoyed our food and accommodations. The staff helped us with reservations to Belize and other sites nearby in Guatemala.

You feel like at home or visiting a friend's home. The room and the kitchen area are very clean. El Remate is a small friendly village close to the lake. You have good restaurants where they serve good mayan food. It is close to Mayan archaeological sites. After your daily excursions you can relax at the hamaks of the sun breeze hotel.

Being greeted friendly, able to park our van inside and having the room very close to the van was great. Wifi works well (though not the fastest), ceiling fan and normal fan in the room were absolutely sufficient. The kitchen outside is great and has all you need. Your can walk out and find everything in less than a minute. Absolutely recommendable 👍

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the... The Guatemalan man who works there is incredible. I wish I had caught his name. He was so nice and helpful during our short stay there. A very peaceful hotel with views of the water and a lush garden. I didn't see any toucans but my partner saw one perched next to one of the rooms in the morning. We had the traditional dinner with eggs, fried plantains, beans, cheese, toast and fruit- it was delicious! We had the same for breakfast and it was the perfect meal to get us through Tikal. The prices for the room and the food was all reasonable. There is an extra charge to use AC but that's across the board in the area. Highly recommend!

The beautiful scenery nested in nature. The staff are SO LOVELY, kind and attentive and helpful- they all made the stay extra special. The breakfast view of the lake and the wonderful array of birds and animals (spider monkeys!) that can be seen from the property. The relaxing pool area and mirador too! 🩷 great location for tours to Tikal, Yahxa etc. Wish we had more time to explore more of the area and do a bird watching tour too.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Bolontiku Boutique Hotel Member of the Cayuga Collection is located 15 minutes by boat from Flores Island. We absolutely loved this property—it was the perfect place to stay during our trip! The views of the lake are breathtaking, and the tranquil atmosphere made our stay so enjoyable. One of the highlights was having access to water equipment like kayaks, which were included in the stay—such a great perk for exploring the lake. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, especially after reading some of the previous reviews. Out of curiosity, we spoke to the hotel staff about the feedback, and they mentioned they’ve been working hard to improve. It shows! The included breakfast was absolutely delicious and gave us the perfect start to our day. The staff were wonderful—always friendly and eager to help. Getting around the property was seamless, as we never had to wait for a golf cart to take us to our room. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations. From the stunning views to the thoughtful amenities and excellent service, it was a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend it!
