In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. Within five minutes of placing a call we were whisked off to this charming riverside location. Our pleasant host, welcomed us and showed us to our well appointed room. Special thanks to Angie who was really helpful. The breakfast was first class as was the service. I just wish we had the time to stay longer.

Simply wonderful. The staff service is amazing—very kind, very honest, and they do everything they can to accommodate your needs. They strive to do their best for the guests. From the kitchen staff to the waiters, bartenders, and boat captains, the service is excellent. I give it a 100 rating, and very, recommend it to anyone in the world who wants to escape their daily routine and feel like royalty. Go to CASA CARIBE HOTEL. We are thinking about returning. Beautiful space, I could have easily spent a longer time. The kitchen area is spacious and overall everything feels nice and airy. Flor, the host, is very kind. She was awake to let me in when I arrived past midnight, made us all pancakes and coffee in the morning, and let me keep my stuff for a few hours after check out.
