The place is literally on the river, I spent every morning half an hour sitting on the porch looking at the birds. We booked a tour at the place, going along the river, to Playa Blanca, and Livingstone, which was not too expensive and very nice. The food was good as well.

In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. Great stay at Tortugal!!! Really nice room, great shower, good breakfast and food. And finallly Angela and the rest of the staff are amazing! Definitely the place to stay if in Rio Dulce

Casa Caribe Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a private beach area and shared lounge in Rio Dulce. I have no words to describe the entire experience I had at this place. Simply wonderful. The staff service is amazing—very kind, very honest, and they do everything they can to accommodate your needs. They strive to do their best for the guests. From the kitchen staff to the waiters, bartenders, and boat captains, the service is excellent. I give it a 100 rating, and very, recommend it to anyone in the world who wants to escape their daily routine and feel like royalty. Go to CASA CARIBE HOTEL. We are thinking about returning. The accommodation is so beautiful, so much attention is given to the plants and walking routes. We really enjoyed to walk around and even saw a wild crocodile! We also did a hike on a nature trail set out by the accommodation. The bungalow was also lovely, spacious and with airco. Great food and very friendly staff.

It’s in really good location. Very close to Castillo San Felipe and on the edge of Rio Dulce. It has complimentary kayaking and you can swim if you want to. It has two big pools, one for kids and the other for adults. The restaurant has a nice view of the lake and it has great food and a variety of options for everyone. The room is clean and comfortable with air conditioning.

We booked this hotel as we were driving to our destination. I called and asked if they would let us check in at midnight and they were happy to have us. When we arrived, they greeted us, showed us to our room, and said we could deal with the paperwork in the morning. When we woke up in the morning, I was astounded by their beautiful location, tranquility around the river, and excellent restaurant. The paperwork was fast and we had a delicious meal before continuing on our journey.I wish we had more time to enjoy their pool and riverfront views.
