Boatique Hotel and Marina features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Rio Dulce. 6.7 km from Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, the hostel provides a bar and water sports facilities. This hotel is a little slice of paradise. It has the most beautiful location set amongst the jungle and waterways of Rio Dulce, the rooms are accessed by a boardwalk and there is a beautiful pool for cooling off on hot days. They have developed so many lovely places to sit and relax listening to the jungle sounds or birdsong and even a small area with yoga mats to do some exercise. The dining area is a large open plan open sided platform with tables to share with other guests or to eat on your own if you prefer. The food is prepared fresh and is simple but delicious. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom and doors onto a small balcony overlooking the rest of the resort. The staff were all so lovely and especially Freddie who gave us all the information we needed for the trip we booked and ferried us back and forth to Rio Dulce Town. We absolutely loved Boatique and recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful setting.

In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. Entire staff made us feel like at home.

Casa Caribe Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a private beach area and shared lounge in Rio Dulce. I have no words to describe the entire experience I had at this place. Simply wonderful. The staff service is amazing—very kind, very honest, and they do everything they can to accommodate your needs. They strive to do their best for the guests. From the kitchen staff to the waiters, bartenders, and boat captains, the service is excellent. I give it a 100 rating, and very, recommend it to anyone in the world who wants to escape their daily routine and feel like royalty. Go to CASA CARIBE HOTEL. We are thinking about returning. Hostal Blood Moon is situated in Rio Dulce and has a plunge pool and pool views. This guest house features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. It was in walking distance of the ferry but off the road so you didn't hear the traffic. The host was lovely and we very much enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.

The accommodation features room service, a concierge service and currency exchange for guests. loved my stay here, felt so homey the staff were incredible and attentive i loved the rusty feel to the place and went swimming nearly every morning! the place is beautiful, affordable, they have free lanchas to get into town, laundry service, happy hour! extended my stay again and again just didn’t want to leave

Set in Rio Dulce, 6.2 km from Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, Hotel Hacienda Tijax Jungle Logde offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Lovely lodge in the jungle. Suggestive location with rooms in the canals with crocodiles (don’t worry they wont eat you!). Rooms were perfect for being a lodge. A couple of nice activities are available such as a walk in the jungle and kayak in the lake. Most pleasant surprise was the food… simply extraordinary for a low price compared to Europe, and I’m quite picky usually as Italian.

I did not visit their restaurant but I heard nothing but good things about this place. I would definitely stay here again,.

This rustic-style property offers a private beach area, BBQ facilities, a restaurant and bar on site, plus a gym. Mar Marine Yacht Club also boasts massage services and free WiFi access. We booked this hotel as we were driving to our destination. I called and asked if they would let us check in at midnight and they were happy to have us. When we arrived, they greeted us, showed us to our room, and said we could deal with the paperwork in the morning. When we woke up in the morning, I was astounded by their beautiful location, tranquility around the river, and excellent restaurant. The paperwork was fast and we had a delicious meal before continuing on our journey.I wish we had more time to enjoy their pool and riverfront views.
