The host is AMAZING. He is beyond friendly and helpful. He connected us with his cousin who gave us a great rate for the drive from Guatemala City straight to the property. There’s amazing street vendors for food literally every street you walk down, it’s right by the Mirador, a 5 minute walk to all the best parts of the city and 10 minutes walking to the lake. The view from the roof is beautiful. The property itself was really clean and spacious, and the beds were super comfy. I honestly can’t say enough. We loved our stay here.

Very nice view, Guerison was the best host and so helpful, the sustainable set up with solar energy was lovely. San Juan is a lovely choice for a stay at atitlan. we had 2 nights which was perfect (3 would be fine too - it’s a quiet place so depends on what you prefer). Shower was great.

There are so many reasons to stay here, #1 being the family themselves. They are very friendly, all around good people. They were super welcoming, helped us with all of our plans and even invited us to join for dinner when it started raining. It was great to practice our Spanish (we are learning) and Angel was a very good teacher, helping us to improve. They made us a different breakfast each morning, including homemade tortillas. Would for sure stay here again if we found ourselves back in Guatemala. Thanks for everything!
