Mansuar Island was our very first stop after arriving in Raja Ampat from Waisai. Immediately we were welcomed by the lovely, waving, smiling faces of Mima, Indra, Uli and Ringo, which made us feel like home instantly. The brand new bungalows are beautiful, spacious and offer plenty of options to hang, lay and store your clothes and belongings. The view from the terrace is just phenomenal. We could sit there and gaze for hours. The food served three times a day was delicious. Always plenty of choice and more than enough for everyone. They even have cold soft drinks and beers available, which can not be taken for granted in a remote place like raja ampat. Another bonus point. The common area is very cosy to sit around and chat with the other guests as well as with the lovely staff, such as Ringo singing and playing the guitar. He truly is an artist! The house reef right in front is excellent and very easy to access. We even saw 2 mantas, a white tip reef shark, black tip reef sharks and many turtles swimming past on our first snorkel out there. Captain Freddy took us out for a daytrip to Friwen wall and beach and showed us his beautiful home while driving past the scenic views. Facing the seafront in Yennanas Besir, Amfriwen Homestay features a private beach area and a garden. The property offers free private parking. The guest house has family rooms. We enjoyed our stay at Amfriwen. The bungalow was clean, had a fan, a mosquito net and a little shelf space. The veranda and the view were amazing. The bathroom was outside and for us one of the better facilities during our stay in Raja ampat. The food was very simple but always enough. We enjoyed our stay and say thank you to the lovely family.

Boasting garden views, Raja Ampat Sandy Guest House provides accommodation with a garden, around 1.3 km from Waisai Torang Cinta Beach. This is a homestay, basic room but extremely clean, Husna is an absolutely amazing person! Safe area, she gave us foot directions to a great dinner place. Husna has a wonderful place and is a great host. Great breakfast, refreshments throughout the day, a wealth of information about the area, flora and customs 😊.

The Vogelkopf Resort in Raja Ampat is a real find for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some nature. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. What really stands out is how the owner personally makes sure you're comfortable and enjoying your stay. The rooms are comfy and just what you need to unwind. The highlight for me was the snorkeling; it's some of the best I've ever done, with crystal-clear water and incredible marine life just off the jetty. Plus, the WiFi is surprisingly good for such a remote place, hitting around 30mbps, which is great for staying connected. Just a heads-up, due to the location, the internet might drop during storms, but that's a small price to pay for the beauty and peace you get here. Overall, Vogelkopf Resort is an excellent choice for an stress-free vacation with a bit of adventure and a lot of natural beauty."

Set in Waisai, Coriana Dive Resort features a garden, terrace and free WiFi. There is a restaurant serving Indonesian cuisine, and free private parking is available. The location is beautiful. Who doesn’t love an above water bungalow. Rooms were clean and a fair size with a good size bathroom. The food is delicious and always way too much, but thankfully it’s a polite custom to leave food on your plate as an offering. The staff was so kind. Maria, Rebecca, John, the kitchen staff were all so kind and helpful. Oh and you can walk into the sea at the end and snorkel right over some beautiful corals … loved it.

Gibran guest house is situated in Kri and offers a private beach area, a garden and a terrace. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. - Very various food, which was always good and a lot - huge terrace with a sun lounger and makramee hammock - great shower with water from the top (not only bucket) - very friendly good English speaking Rio (who was always there to communicate with the guests and have some chats) - cheap transfer boats - lots of trips available to different spots - we went snorkeling with Rio and the local along the wall - turtles, sharks and other cool fish to spot while snorkeling - use MapsMe (App) to find the hidden jungle tracks that lead you too the sunset viewpoints and cool snorkeling spots MAKE SURE YOU JUMP IN THE WATER AT NIGHT FROM THE JETTY BECAUSE THERE IS FLUORESCENCE PLANKTON IN THE OCEAN WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL!!!

Meridian Adventure Marina Club & Resort Waisai offers accommodation in Waisai, Raja Ampat. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and scuba diving. The rooms include a flat-screen TV. Meridian is a great way for people who have not been to Raja Ampat to get introduced to what the area has to offer without committing to more local accommodation. The property, food and location were fantastic. The people who looked after us made the stay really homely. Thank you.
