From the minute we entered to the moment we left, the staff were super attentive and helpful. They really made an effort to make our stay as memorable as possible. It is clear that they care about the sustainable side of the resort as well as supporting the local community. We loved the patio overlooking the town below and volcano in the distance while surrounded by jungle. Arno made sure we had our activities well planned sharing valuable local insights and helping us to make the most of the time we had around Tomohon. Also, the food and drinks on site were amazing!

Ibra organized us a guide to experience the local toraja funerals. Our guide Rita was very knowledgeable and managed to show us multiple funerals at a different state. We could rent a scooter from the homestay for three days. Ibra organized our night bus tickets to makassar and dropped us to the bus station. We could also do a late checkout which was convenient to catch the night bus.

The traditional house would not be able to accommodate a bathroom in the building itself. This is an experience to stay in real Toraja house - it is not a fancy hotel - but it is great!!

We originally planned to stay shorter but ended up extending our stay because it felt like home! The homestay is simple but has everything you need - a lovely common space to relax, a balcony with a view of a traditional village, WiFi, tea, coffee, and drinking water. Breakfasts were delicious, and for most dinners, we stayed in—Meyske is an amazing cook! But it’s not just about the food; the homely atmosphere and great conversations made it even more special. On top of that, Meyske is a fantastic guide who made our experience unforgettable, helping us plan the perfect trip. Highly recommend!

Familly owning the homestay is very kind. Yansen took us to see the funeral ceremony and showed us around the town which was very interesting. He speaks very good english and is very knowledgable on the history and culture. Speaking about homestay, the rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable. There was a hot shower. Also bed was very comfortable. We rented a scooter and had a ride around town and surrounding areas, which was very beautiful. 10/10 expierence overall, would definetely recommend and I would love to come back again!
