He picks us up his guests at the piers and answers every question you may have. - The place is well situated, just outside Tuktuk main area. - We had a room in the garden, the bed is comfortable and it is quiet at night. - Kettle and fridge in the room. - Good wifi. - Possibility to rent a scooter. There are in good conditions and with a full tank. - Good restaurant next door, for your breakfast. We'll book here again if we visit again Samosir island.

Nested in the jungle, it felt like a dream to relax listening to the sound of the forest. Everything is beautiful at the Jungle Guide, and the staff is very kind and helpful. We even had the chance to listen to some of them playing the guitar and singing, it was lovely! I can't recommend it enough!

The owner helped us to arrange the guide and airport taxi before arrival! When we arrived, my friend was not feeling well so the owner managed to change the duration of the trek and suggest other activities. Also, she managed to extend the stay and we kept the same room (from 1 night to 4 nights). We were pleased with nice food and hospitality like delivering food or tea to our room! Our room was upgraded to the family room which was more accessible from the river. I highly recommend this place!

This place is a gem! We’re so happy we had the chance to meet Sarka and Putra—such great people. They’re doing an amazing job with their beautiful resort, and it really shows. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back someday!

Teras olanağı sağlayan Mila Homestay tesisi Padang noktasında, Siti Nurbaya Bridge noktasına 10 km ve Mount Talang noktasına 47 km mesafede bulunan bir konaklama imkanı sunar. We found LOBLUS by chance and it was wonderful. The place is very cosy, the rooms very clean, good value for money, but the most important and the most remarkable is DILAH. She is the nicest, kindest and most dedicated person we have met in Indonesia. If you have a couple of days or more, she will make your experience as rewarding as possible. She will get you all the food and fruit you want for breakfast, and even if you want to see crocodiles, she will wait with you for 3 or 4 hours until they show up! Hahaha I would definitely recommend her a million times. If you want to do a tour in Sumatra, I recommend you to talk to her and spend at least one day there. She deserves everything and more. I spent 2 nights before my jungle trek and 1 night after. I booked the 2 day/1 night jungle trek with them as well. I actually think that is the only way you can stay at their guesthouse, so they ensure that their trekking clients have accommodation. Communication with the manager, Dedycool was faultless, from the time i made my initial inquiry to when the driver picked me up at the airport. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've had in 5 months of travel, and the AC did the job. The staff could not have been more welcoming, both upon arrival and every time I came for a meal or returned from an outing. The location outside of the village ensured a peaceful nights sleep. I enjoyed the 30 minute walk to the center, allowing me to see people going about their daily lives. The jungle trek was phenomenal in every way. Both guides, Edwin and Janet, were professional and got excited when we saw orangutans (we saw 7). The food both at the guesthouse and on the trek was very tasty. The trekking was challenging but not overly so. It was fun scrambling up hillsides using vines and roots as foot and hand holds. The camping was much more comfortable than I expected. The camping mats were thick, and the lightweight sleeping bag was just right for the temperature. The rafting back to the village was super fun and a great way to end the 2 days in the jungle. I'm very pleased with my decision to book through Sumatra Orangutans Treks.

I truly loved everything about Mario Lakeside. The location is peaceful and beautiful, right by the lake — perfect for relaxing. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. What made this place special is the heart behind it. The owner, Pak Ali, is a kind and inspiring person. He also runs a foundation for children with cleft lips in Sumatra — which made my stay feel even more meaningful. Upstairs, there’s a vegetarian café with delicious food. They grow some of their ingredients on-site (farm-to-table concept), and I was blown away by the haloumi sandwich – they even import the cheese from the UK! It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place that stays with you. I’d definitely come back if I visit Toba again.
