Port Aran House is a beautifully designed B&B in a modern house just outside the relatively busy area of Kilronan where the ferries land. The place is full of first-class local art. My modestly sized room was efficiently organized with a window looking out at the ocean. While it was a bit blustery to take advantage of the big outdoor ocean facing deck, the property has a living room with abundant light. The young couple running the place had a full house when I was there, 2 young kids, and a dog, but they still made time to prepare delicious homemade scones for the self-service breakfast plus check in with their guests daily. My six days at Port Aran House were a gem and a highlight of five weeks in Ireland. Many thanks to Sokha and Kevin.

Nice room, perfectly situated to explore the island and have a relaxing evening afterwards. Staff was also very nice. Good breakfast.

Tigh Fitz is a charming, family-owned property that has been in the Fitzpatrick family for generations. Penny is a wonderful host. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was great.

Ard Einne House Bed & Breakfast kijkt uit op het eigen strand en biedt accommodatie met eigen badkamer en uitzicht op de kustlijnen van Galway en Clare. Er wordt elke ochtend een ontbijt geserveerd. The location is stunning, on a quiet side of the island and on a hill with wonderful views. With rented bikes we got around easily. The room was very comfortable, and the downstairs sitting area was cozy and good for meeting people and chatting. Breakfast was delicious and the hostess very kind and helpful.

Maggies Cottage Inishmore ligt in Inis Mor. Er is privéparkeren beschikbaar op het terrein en gratis WiFi. Wonderful place to stay. We were two couples the downstairs room was tiny so the bed was a full but I slept great. The whole house is lovely and clean. The view is stunning. I was concerned because we had a later ferry and didn’t have time to run to the market and we were pleasantly surprised to have fresh bread milk and eggs to make breakfast with. I will try to stay here on my next visit. We all loved having space to hang out and enjoy our trip.

Two Bedroom Deluxe Sea View Guest Suite beschikt over een tuin, en biedt accommodatie in Inis Mor met gratis WiFi en uitzicht op de bergen. The apartment was really cosy and well-kitted out and the beds were really comfy. It’s in a beautiful quiet location with great views near a lovely beach and a short walk to the stunning views from Dun Aengus. It’s a good base from which to explore the island if you hire bikes. There are also a few gift shops and cafes near the property which is handy. The host, Claire, was really friendly and accommodating.

Irish Isle Oasis: Spacious 5-Bedroom Retreat heeft een tuin, en biedt accommodatie in Bungowla met gratis WiFi en uitzicht op de zee. Well maintained, spacious house for group or family. Excellent location and good choice to have a break.

Het Aran Islands Hotel ligt op Inis Mor, en heeft ruime kamers met eigen badkamers, waarvan sommige met balkons en uitzicht op Kileaney Bay en de haven van Kilronan. Het was beter dan ik vooraf had verwacht. Een nette, ruime en schone kamer met een prima badkamer. Onze kamer was al klaar bij aankomst, ondanks dat we een uur te vroeg waren. En als je ‘s avonds geen zin hebt om op zoek te gaan naar een eetgelegenheid dan kan je prima terecht in het restaurant van het hotel (ook enkele vegan opties).
