Sharad Baug homestay was absolutely wonderful starting with the lovely and kind Trishulini who greeted us and gave us breakfast after a long bus journey. The room was impeccable with its own veranda complete with very cool antique furniture. Surrounded by garden and then fields it is a peaceful oasis with birdsong. The food was delicious, the atmosphere of the dining hall felt like stepping back in time and a stroll through the palace grounds spoke of the history of another time. You can easily walk into town or grab a tuk tuk to visit temples and the market. This homestay was my favourite stay of my trip and I highly recommend you give it a try. It was one of the best hotel we stayed at and for the price it was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to keep in touch with the hotel via phone and WhatsApp. We asked to see if we could have a room at 08:00 as our training was arriving into Bhuj at 06:30 and they said that they will try to accommodate that. When we arrived they were able to give us both room at 08:00. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious as was the bathroom.
