The staff throughout the hotel were consistently exceptional — perfectly trained, unfailingly courteous, and ever attentive without being in the least intrusive. Every request was met with effortless efficiency. Breakfast each morning in the Sea Lounge was an absolute highlight — a splendid combination of buffet and à la carte offerings, all of the highest quality. The selection was truly impressive, catering to every palate with ease and refinement. We particularly appreciated the calm, elegant setting overlooking the Arabian Sea, while the live musician performing outside added an understated charm to the mornings. We would, however, recommend arriving before 9 a.m. to avoid the later rush. A small but thoughtful gesture exemplified the essence of Taj hospitality: upon mentioning to the breakfast manager that I had a mild stomach ache, he immediately arranged for fresh coconut water — a simple act of kindness delivered with genuine concern. Additionally, I appreciated the manager of the Shamiana restaurant going out of his way to package a couple of servings of rasmalai for us. We also greatly enjoyed the hotel’s guided tour, which was a delightful blend of joviality, history, and insight. It offered a deeper appreciation of the Palace’s remarkable heritage and the many stories woven into its walls. We happened to stay during Diwali, and the festive atmosphere only enhanced the ambience. The hotel was beautifully adorned, yet the sense of calm and refinement remained perfectly intact. The concierge, too, was flawless — there seemed to be no request they could not manage.

The Kohler-appointed bathrooms, the darkening shades, the unique light switches, and the hideaway luggage storage combined to make our stay comfortable and luxurious.
