This farm stay is the ultimate destination when visiting this region. Surrounded by nature and offering a breathtaking view, we could even see the Kangchenjunga from our bed. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. We particularly cherished our dinner and breakfast on the hotel's terrace. However, it's essential to have plenty of patience because communicating with the staff can be challenging, and understanding each other is even more so. The farm stay is located approximately 35 minutes on foot from the nearest town, and the staff wasn't very helpful in arranging transportation, even a taxi (referred to as a tourist vehicle). One important note: Despite what booking.com may indicate about free booking and cancellation, a 10% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

The Di-Lac Retreat is situated in Gangtok and features a terrace. Among the various facilities are a shared lounge and a restaurant. Both free WiFi and private parking are available on site. Our stay at Di Lac Retreat was truly a memorable and relaxing experience. The homestay itself is beautifully maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed, offering a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Every detail reflects care and comfort, which added greatly to the overall charm of the retreat. What made our experience exceptional, however, was the outstanding service from Alisha and Akash. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. From ensuring our comfort to promptly assisting with any requests, their hospitality went above and beyond expectations. They made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our stay. Thanks to the wonderful homestay and the dedication of Alisha and Akash, our time at Di Lac Retreat was both relaxing and heartwarming. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent service and warm hospitality.

The people are so warm and friendly and delightful and surprised us with a blessing ceremony when we told them it was our 25th wedding anniversary. Sencha and Yogesh were truly trustworthy drivers too. They have beautiful well thought out outdoor areas too. They also have wonderful pets. Beautiful stay 🥰🙏
