Situated in Matsuyama, 500 metres from Joshin-ji Temple, Kowakuen Haruka offers accommodation with an open-air bath, private parking and a garden. Staff was helpful in guiding us to car park and bringing up luggage to the room. They are also conversant in English so communication was easy. Overall everyone was friendly. Location is best and the room was comfortable.

Ideally situated in the Dogo Hot Spring district of Matsuyama, 媛邸【ＥＮＴＥＩ】 is situated 600 metres from Joshin-ji Temple, less than 1 km from Matsuyama Shrine and a 16-minute walk from Miyukiji Temple. The host was the kindest woman. The apartment itself was very clean and included so many cute details, such as local sweets and drinks. Also, it is right next to the famous dogo onsen. Amazing stay!

Situated in Ainan and only 600 metres from Kanjizaiji Temple, 町の中心地 星もきれいな貸切宿 "うみいろキャビン " "umiiro cabin" features accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. The apartment is wonderful. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is excellent, and so is the kitchen. Parking is right next to the entrance. The area is very quiet. Self check-in was easy. As a bonus, there were sherberts from the host's farm waiting for us that were absolutely delicious.

Set within 35 km of Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine and 37 km of Henjou-in Temple, 伯方plus+ offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Imabari. The owners of this stay were so very very kind. We had to inform them that someone on our reservation was unable to come due to an illness, and they went out of their way to get her a souvenir! How kind is that?! When you arrive, they give you a cup of, possibly, the most delicious heated orange juice I have ever had. Genuinely both my brother and I were shocked at how good it was lol. They were also very complementary of my terrible japanese, so bonus points for hyping me up XD. The stay itself is quite small, but it has a magnificent view out of the window to the beach and the palm trees, and the sunset over the mountain is breathtaking. It also has everything you would need for a stay, fridge, microwave, table, kitchenette, etc. Special shoutouts to the shower, holy crap the heat and water pressure from that thing were life changing, and I wish I could have taken that shower home with me. Genuinely in the months that I have stayed in Japan that was the best shower I have ever had. No worries about food, there is a Konbini very close as well. All in all this was a wonderful stay, very convenient, hosts were really nice. Absolutely will try to stay here again when I retry the Shimanami Kaido.

Located in Inokuchi, 32 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, Guesthouse tonari provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Taka and Tonari were super helpful to explain everything about the guest house and they even called the fish restaurant nearby to make sure they could prepare a vegetarian dish for me. During the morning a very small earthquake occurred and Tonari immediately came over to see if anyone got scared. Everything was clean and neat. We also appreciated the house rules because even though all guests were staying in dorms/semi private room it was always quiet.

Located in Hikino, ゲストハウスみちしお provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property features sea views. Koji was very helpful and informative. This guesthouse is in a lovely rural setting. Nice kitchen and comfortable bed

Situated just 26 km from Mishima Shrine, ゲストハウス 西村サイクル（24C） features accommodation in Izume with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Easy parking, big and comfortable space, nice amenities, friendly host, nice izakaya with tasty food nearby.

OMISHIMA SPACE Omoya has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Imabari, 30 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine. Everything was super clean, the spaces are really nice and it is perfectly located in the middle point of Shimanami Kaido :)

Situated 37 km from Senkoji Temple, 38 km from MOU Onomichi City University Art Museum and 38 km from Jodoji Temple, Guesthouse Farmor - Vacation STAY 15083v features accommodation located in Imabari.... We had such a nice stay — the owner was so nice and welcoming, she drove us to the onsen and booked a very nice restaurant with sashimis for the dinner. We also had a good breakfast in the morning and she gave us very good advices of where to go next with our bicycles. I hope to come back.
