会津七日町inn is situated in Aizuwakamatsu, 1.5 km from Aizuwakamatsu Station and 4.2 km from Mount Iimori. Featuring a terrace, the 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom. The staff member Koji was very friendly and helpful. He recommended some restaurants and helped us book a reservation at an izakaya. The other staff were very nice as well. The hostel was very clean and tidy.

かぐら庵 is situated in Kitakata, 22 km from Mount Iimori, 38 km from Mount Bandai, as well as 23 km from Aizuwakamatsu Castle. -Apartment is located on the corner of a main road close to several establishments. -Apartment is very warm in winter. There are 2 kerosene heaters, airconditioning unit, and electric blankets (a big plus!) -Place is spotless.

Located in Kitashiobara, 22 km from Mount Bandai, Urabandai Cranes provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Beautiful ski lodge, the wood workshop made it even more charming. The room was clean and comfortable and simple but very cozy. They had everything you need and on top of that an onsen style bath. The host was very kind and generous and I left with a big smile! I wished I could stay longer!

Featuring mountain views, Guesthouse Oyado Iizaka provides accommodation with balcony, around 35 km from Nihonmatsu Station. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The hosts are incredibly kind and hospitable. Great place to meet people.

Situated in Aizuwakamatsu, 3.8 km from Mount Iimori, Kutsurogijyuku Shintaki provides accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. This was our favorite hotel in Japan. It is perched on a steep hillside and has a lovely ambiance that is both luxurious and authentically Japanese. We splurged on a room with a private onsen and its own deck which was absolutely fabulous. We had a car, so getting there did not involve taking a taxi from the train station in town. However, it was a bit difficult to find when we first arrived and Google sent us to a different hotel.

Sansuiso Tsuchiyu Spa provides a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Fukushima, 24 km from Nihonmatsu Station. The whole property was amazing- the building was immaculate on the inside, the rooms were spacious and quiet with a great view, the onsens were BEAUTIFUL, like straight out of a fairytale picturesque!

Tagoto features a hot public bath, Japanese-style and Western rooms and Japanese cuisine, a 5-minute drive from Aizu Wakamatsu Station. I throughly enjoyed my stay at Tagoto. The staff were inviting and very helpful, going the extra mile to make my stay comfortable. The staff noticed I was having trouble fitting into the standard size slippers and couldn't walk up the stairs in them. Shortly after checking in, I went out for dinner and then returned and they had prepared me a larger pair of slippers. This was a lovely surprise and the fit was much more comfortable. The staff offered recommendations for places around Aizuwakamatsu and were patient with me attempting to speak / learn more Japanese. The breakfast was amazing! I got to try so many new interesting traditional dishes. The staff serving was very helpful and friendly.

Located in Iwaki in the Fukushima region, with Aquamarine Fukushima nearby, Goen Little hatchi 子供が喜ぶ隠れ家宿 provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Amazing host that made us feel welcome with good communication before the stay and via instruction manuals inside the property. Everything was clean and new. Facilities for children well thought out. Property is great for families with a large table and space for suitcases as well as basic cooking facilities. Location is a 3 minute drive from Fukushima Aquamarine and 25 minutes from Hawaiian resort by car.

Set 28 km from Nihonmatsu Station, 昭和の家anzu 二階建ての一棟貸切 offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The air-conditioned accommodation is 8 km from Fukushima Station. Staying here is cheaper than in a hotel. I could live there.
