会津七日町inn is situated in Aizuwakamatsu, 1.5 km from Aizuwakamatsu Station and 4.2 km from Mount Iimori. Featuring a terrace, the 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom. I had the best experience staying at this place. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They let me leave my luggage before check in time, and helped me find transport information. The place was clean and cozy, the room and bed comfortable. Conveniently located within walking distance to Nanukamachi station and the busy area. Definitely would stay again.

かぐら庵 is situated in Kitakata, 22 km from Mount Iimori, 38 km from Mount Bandai, as well as 23 km from Aizuwakamatsu Castle. The room is equipped with everything you need in an apartment. There are more than enough heaters to keep the room warm. The check in was easy and the location is convenient.

Situated in Aizuwakamatsu, 3.8 km from Mount Iimori, Kutsurogijyuku Shintaki provides accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. This was our favorite hotel in Japan. It is perched on a steep hillside and has a lovely ambiance that is both luxurious and authentically Japanese. We splurged on a room with a private onsen and its own deck which was absolutely fabulous. We had a car, so getting there did not involve taking a taxi from the train station in town. However, it was a bit difficult to find when we first arrived and Google sent us to a different hotel.

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Okawaso offers accommodation in Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. The staff were extremely friendly and very customer service oriented. The room and facilities were of extremely high quality - I felt as if I was in a 5 star hotel. The dinner was perfect. Hot springs are very pleasant.

Sansuiso Tsuchiyu Spa provides a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Fukushima, 24 km from Nihonmatsu Station. Our stay at Sansuiso Spa was truly exceptional. The quality of the food, the elegance of the traditional meals, and the overall attention to detail created an unforgettable experience. Every member of the team was kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the first moment. I would like to highlight one person in particular—her name was Abe Moka. She attended us during a private dinner and again at breakfast the next day. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care were extraordinary. She anticipated every need, explained the dishes beautifully, and created a calm and joyful atmosphere. She was, without doubt, the best of the best. Sansuiso Spa is incredibly fortunate to have her on the team. Her service elevated our entire stay, and I sincerely believe she deserves recognition—perhaps even a salary raise—for the outstanding hospitality she offers to guests. Highly recommended. We hope to return soon.

Tagoto features a hot public bath, Japanese-style and Western rooms and Japanese cuisine, a 5-minute drive from Aizu Wakamatsu Station. The property it is incredibly clean and well maintained in its fantastic traditional structure. The hosts are super friendly and sweet. Although their main language it is not English they do their best to fully communicate with you. You book your time for breakfast, dinner and the bath( which is private to you and your party). The room was very cool and super comfortable. The food was delicious and it felt like a feast all the time. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Located in Iwaki in the Fukushima region, with Aquamarine Fukushima nearby, Goen Little hatchi 子供が喜ぶ隠れ家宿 provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Amazing host that made us feel welcome with good communication before the stay and via instruction manuals inside the property. Everything was clean and new. Facilities for children well thought out. Property is great for families with a large table and space for suitcases as well as basic cooking facilities. Location is a 3 minute drive from Fukushima Aquamarine and 25 minutes from Hawaiian resort by car.

Set in Fukushima, 11 km from Minami-Fukushima Station and 18 km from Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium, 昭和の家anzu 二階建ての一棟貸切 offers air conditioning. Staying here is cheaper than in a hotel. I could live there.

Lovely apartment. Met at the door by the host who was very responsive to messages. Great space upstairs but completely separate from hosts home on the ground floor. Very well located with easy walk to castle and other main sites. Warm, clean and with ability to prepare and share food. Would definitely stay again.
