Right next to the station. We booked a larger room and it was huge with several beds, cooking facilities and a washing machine

Onyado Yuinosho, Shirakawago provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 45 km of Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village and 46 km of Takayama Station. This was a great introduction to a ryokan experience. While it’s part of a chain, it still felt authentic. Very spacious rooms, impeccable cleanliness. The onsen is one of the best we’ve experienced, with a view of ghe mountains. The food was so generous, prepared with the highest level of attention to sourcing local ingredients, respecting seasonal produce, and balancing flavors. This was a really lovely stay.

Hotellissa oli rauhallinen tunnelma, henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja kylpylä mukava. Myös oleskelutila oli rauhallinen ja miellyttävä. Plussaa pyykinpesumahdollisuudessta. Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. It was very nicely decorated and spacious also the staff was very nice.

Oyado Koto No Yume on vain 2 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Takayaman rautatieasemalta, ja se tarjoaa japanilaisia huoneita, joissa on värikkäitä yksityiskohtia. Paikka on aivan ihana. Aulassa iltaisin paikallista sakea vapaalla kaadolla, mutta ei känniörvellystä. Huone todella siisti, kaunis ja perinteinen. Talon puolesta löytyy yukatat myös hieman isommille kuin pienemmillekin aikuisille, myös länkkärikoossa. Yksityiskylpyvuoro saatavilla, oli meille kiva juttu. Sijainti myös erinomainen. Ehdoton suositus.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. A really beautiful hotel with many details thought of. So many complimentary things offered which really enhance your stay from the robes and slippers you change into when you arrive, ice lollies after the onsen, noodles in the evening, marshmallows for roasting on the terrace, it feels like the staff really want to go the extra mile to surprise and delight you. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the onsens themselves an amazing experience that we all loved, even our children age 10,12 and 14 enjoyed them. The food was very traditional and incredibly special with exceptional presentation. The dinner is expensive but a real treat for the senses. I highly recommend the breakfasts as well. We took the bus to Kamikochi for easy hiking/walking which was perfect. All in all the most perfect start to our Japanese adventure. I’m so glad we had some time in the mountains before Kyoto and Tokyo. Most staff speak some English but google translate is helpful if you need to say more than the basics!

Cozy,clean,nice taste for everything,they pick me up at late night,and sand me away in the morning as I’m a solo traveler.They try their best to let me feel at home and let me know I’m so welcomed,not because of I’m Chinese,but a human being.Thank you for such an open mind and warm heart.
