Extraordinary settings, it was the most unusual place we stayed during our trip throughout Japan. The rooms were clean and had everything you need, the beds in the shared rooms were surprisingly spacious and the staff was very kind and attentive.

The hotel is within the Old Town and nearby shops and restaurants. I like that they have the lounge for guests where you can have unlimited drinks - sake, beer, cafe etc

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The guest house is well located at Takayama. Temperature inside was perfect for winter. Facilites are perfect and the manager explained everything at my arrival.

The place is absolutely beautiful. By far one of the nicest hotels I've been in. Every detail is well thought of, and the location near Takayama Old city is great.

Oyado Koto No Yume, 2 menit dengan berjalan kaki dari Stasiun Takayama, menawarkan kamar-kamar bergaya Jepang dengan sentuhan penuh warna. Lovely, welcoming and cosy. The common area in the lobby was a great addition to sit and read, play games, chat etc and they loan foot massage machines and aromatherapy oil burners from here too. Great having the public onsen too.
