Thid hotel is among the best ive stayed in, in japan. The attention to detail is really impressive. The onsen has two sides that feel different, so the hotel rotates which side is for Men/Women between morning/evening. There is a good selection of drinks, snacks etc in the Wending machines on the 9th floor The breakfast buffet has a lot of options, especially the meat buns, ramen and fried ricr were very satisfying. There is complimentary coffee and small 'late night' meals at the lobby. Takayama dosnt have many options open late at night, so this is just another example of their willingness to make guests feel comfortable. The staff really communicates well in english, its clear its a little bit hard for them sometimes, but no foreigner would/should expect perfect english this far out. I found their warm hospitality really came through in trying their best, it was very heartwarming. I had a very nice time in Takayama. I just came to see the 2 very impressive showa museums but this hotel made it very special

We had a very good stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. They even helped me arrange luggage delivery to my next hotel in Sapporo, which I really appreciated.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The guest house is well located at Takayama. Temperature inside was perfect for winter. Facilites are perfect and the manager explained everything at my arrival.

Veldig hyggelig vertskap. Ryokan Asunaro var et nydelig sted med flotte rom og et fint onsen. Anbefaler å gå for halv pensjon med middag og frokost- begge måltider var helt storveis.

Oyado Koto No Yume ligger bare 2 minutters gange fra Takayama stasjon og har rom i japansk stil med fargerike innslag, termalbad, en restaurant og gratis Wi-Fi overalt. Excellent service, attentive staff. Lovely place overall.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. LOVE EVERYTHING! Had a perfect stay in Miyama Ouan. From the staff,food,onsen and so on. It was a long drive from Kyoto to Takayama and when the bus arrived from the last station the free shuttle for pick-up is already there waiting for us, probably due to heavy snowfall at that time, THANK YOU! the resort is just a 5-10mins walk from the station but its impossible with all the snow. All the staff are kind and accommodating, they always make sure that your stay is comfortable and pleasant. Love their Yakuta, they let you chose which design you like. The room is spacious ,clean and the view from the bath is great. the onsen is perfect with a bit of snow falling . the view from the restaurant every breakfast is unparalleled. Thank you Miyama for giving me an unforgettable winter experience. Will definitely come back again!
