The staff was welcoming and everything in the room was perfect. The structure is an old school with a gym where you can actually play basketball and ping pong. There is also some dinner option to purchase if you forgot to take something with you.

Staff helped me call our last hotel to forward some meds that were left there. So nice for them to help. Breakfasts were very good.

Experiencing a Ryokan was amazing and Onyado Yuinosho is the perfect place for it, the staff is incredibly nice and accomodating, the food is incredible, the rooms and facilities are so fancy and pretty and atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy! They give you all sorts of amenities, they have free ramen at night, coffee, yogurt drinks and they even leave local candy to try inside the room! They also have vending machines for soft drinks/coffee/tea and alcohol! The meals they serve are extremely tasty and fancy with beautiful window views of the mountains! The private onsen rooms are beatiful and relaxing! The two nights we spent there were the highlight of our trip! Absolutely must recommend this place if you plan to visit Shirakawa-go!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Lovely staff and very clean property. We stayed in the dorm room and it was spacious and the facilities were all very well kept. Quick walk to the train/bus station and lots of restaurants and shop also a short walk away

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. The room was very spacious, the breakfast delicious, the onsen beautiful and the staff very welcoming! Loved it here!

Hotel Oyado Koto No Yume je od železniške postaje Takayama oddaljen le 2 min hoda. The stuff were so nice and helpful

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. The breakfast & dinner are served in the restaurant with a magnificent view of the surrounding adding a superb experience to the dining. Food is excellent. The private onsen in the Annex is also excellent & we loved to bath in both the private & public onsens. In addition, for non-Japanese speaking tourists, the ability to talk in English is definitely the best among all the hotels/ resorts I have been in Japan.

Hotel is very clean and staffs are very helpful. At the back of the hotel is the Kiso mountains, paddy rice fields are around it, and a creek running in front of it. At night when you open the window, you hear frogs singing all around. There is a K bus a few yards away, it takes you to Nagatsugawa station, from there you can go anywhere. The rooms are tiny but have everything you need. If you visit that area, you won't feel regret to spend a few days there.
