Located in Yokohama, 4.2 km from Yokohama Marine Tower, Hilton Yokohama provides accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Although we arrived late at night, the staff were still very friendly and helped us with everything. The room was immaculate and even came with a speaker, the lighting was modern and intuitive, and the toilet was amazing! I love the bidet and how it has a shower and a bath. The comfort levels were exceptional and the breakfast was delectable. I would definitely come here again.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama Minatomirai Premier has a fitness centre, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Yokohama. This 5-star hotel offers luggage storage space. Exceptional. Very clean, nice view, nice rooms.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura is located in Kamakura, 1.3 km from Yuigahama Beach and less than 1 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Breakfast was great with lots of options. Loved being able to take the rickshaw tour, and the staff was very helpful in booking it.

Great location: directly connected to the train station and shopping complexes. Great staff: helpful and polite. Good facilities: efficient laundry lounge. Comfortable beds and modern bathroom.

Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Possibly the best hostel I have ever stayed - though that word doesn’t do it justice! Onsen and all common spaces were beautiful, the kitchen was the best appointed I’ve ever seen with everything from cooking sake to coffee beans and grinders, staff were helpful. It’s a bit out of the way of things but that makes for a really peaceful atmosphere.

47 km from Fuji-Q Highland in Hakone, Onsen & Garden -Asante Inn- features accommodation with access to a hot spring bath and public bath. Despite being one of the cheapest, this was one of our favourite places we stayed in Japan. The feel is a bit backpacker-like with dorms and communal areas, but it’s so welcoming and peaceful. We stayed in a tatami mat room with futon beds which was a fun and comfortable experience. Our young girls really loved the private onsen and wished we could have longer in there! Staff were absolutely incredible, even offering to drive us a little further than Gora Station on a rainy morning. We really appreciated that, thank you! Also the breakfast was huge, freshly prepared and amazingly well-priced. The location is beautiful, surrounded by mountains. In the rain it was moody but we’ll have to come back when it is clear!

Situated in Hakone, 500 metres from Hakone Gora Park, Hakone Yutowa features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Beautiful location, close to the train station, large rooms, lovely onsens. Restaurant had a good mix of Japanese and western food. Great staff.

This place was the most luxurious I stayed during my time in Japan. Just so professional. Super clean, friendly and even a private onsen for customers to use inside (most days I went there was no one there so it felt very private). Excellent location. Movie nights on Mondays! Walk away from the botanic gardens, right beside the train station. I just had the most wonderful stay here.
