Totally clean, huge rooms with separated bathtub and rainshower. Excellent service and welcoming personal, Ms. Fujita remembered my wish on the next day to keep my bag for a while after my checkout.

Bridge33 CAFE AND HOSTEL ligger i Takagi, 11 kilometer fra Shiogama-helligdommen, og har boenheter med klimaanlegg, i tillegg til en bar. Compared to some places I've rated a 10, this could be a 12! Amazing value. It's a short walk from the two main stations (around 10 mins) and about a 20 min walk to the famous bridge. The place was modern (seemed recently opened) and was very clean throughout. I had a single room that was really spacious. The bed was comfy and it was a really quiet area. Best night's sleep in over a week! The kitchen/ lounge area was also spacious and clean. The owner/ staff were also really friendly and stopped in to have a chat. I wish I could have stayed longer - the cafe/ bar downstairs seemed like a cool place. Highly recommend!

I Ishinomaki, bare 37 kilometer fra Shiogama-helligdommen og 49 kilometer fra Sendai City Community Support Center ligger Tama Hotel. The owner was so nice and showed me around when I first got there, even though I checked in super late at night he made sure I got to know where everything was. He also brought me to and from the port, where I could head to the cat island. Beside the hotel there was even a cat room where I was able to play with the cats in my downtime

Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse ligger i Matsushima, 23 kilometer fra Sendai City Community Support Center og 5 minutters gange fra Entsuin Temple. The guesthouse owner was very friendly, spoke great English. We had quite a few conversations, and he gave me some insights into Matsushima and Japan, as well as sightseeing/food/onsen recommendations at Matsushima. The guest house is exceptionally clean and well maintained, like a newly renovated premise. The room is equipped with air conditioning and comes with a key for you to lock the door. The location is very well located, just a 75m walk from the busy street, which makes it a clean and quiet place to stay, while having walking access to the different attractions of Matsushima.

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. The entire experience was extraordinary. We were greeted with welcome drinks in front of a fire, and led to our room by courteous but hospitable staff. Our 3-person room faced a quiet garden, and we enjoyed delicious cake and tea before being led to the dinner. There was a pair of yukata and a pair of more modern pajamas in the room, along with a warm jacket and a pair of socks for each person. There was a toilet in our entrance hall, and a sink and mirror in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both served in an independent Japanese room located in the older building, and our server conversed with us in fluent Mandarin and English. We loved the exquisitely made Japanese dinner and breakfast, every single small dish and platter of it! The two hotsprings were also delightfully pleasant. The indoors medicinal bath was small but very clean, while the outdoor bath was much more spacious. For some reason, we did not meet many people using the bath either in the evening or the morning. We opted for a shuttle bus to leave the hotel in the morning. The hotel was very helpful with answering questions and reserving shuttle service through the booking.com chat room in English. We were extremely happy with our stay, and hope to stay longer next time.

Located right in front of Matsushima Bay, Komatsukan Kofu-tei offers accommodations with free wired internet access. A wonderfully run property offering a relaxing break in a beautiful setting. Great room, delicious food, beautiful onsens and lovely team of staff.

I Sendai, 4,5 kilometer fra Sendai City Community Support Center, ligger Sendai Guest House UMEBACHI, som har en fellesstue, privat parkering og en terrasse. I stayed here for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. It's a great place to meet people and the owners are very friendly.
