Easy self check-in process, amenities provided. Clean and comfortable. My room had just one bunk bed and I was all alone in the room during my stay.

Warm and friendly hosts that made us feel super welcome! We hope to come back again to stay at this awesome family-run hostel. They have a lovely big kitchen and dining area for guests to cook and hangout. Located right across the road from a great surfing beach with bikes for free and surfboard & wetsuit rentals. Lots of things in biking distance if you don't have a car and we took a train nearby that took us to the airport when leaving. Emi and Sok also offer surfing lessons and surf-skate lessons which we didn't sign up for but heard good things about from other guests. Super clean and wifi was good (my partner had to do a video meeting while there). The suggestions from our hosts on which breaks to go to so we could get some great surfs in were also really appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay that capped off our awesome time in Kyushu!!

Located in Gokase, 47 km from Mount Aso, Guesthouse EL CAMPO features a bar and views of the mountain. This guest house provides free private parking and bicycle parking. I only stayed the one night at El Campo because I was just passing through. My stand alone cabin was spacious, with futon upstairs and kitchenette, bathroom, dining space downstairs. There was a small incident re damage to my rental car by another guest which required police involvement for insurance purposes. I was very thankful that the manager noticed what was happening and came and assisted. He very kindly spoke to the rental agency and the police on my behalf. Which I found very relieving because the language barrier can be really challenging especially in stressful situations. Thank you very much!

Located in Miyazaki, The Little Garden offers beachfront accommodation 1.4 km from Cape Iruka and provides various facilities, such as a garden and a shared lounge. We loved everything about our stay at The Little Garden. The common room is the perfect place to chill out, relax, cook and enjoy the coastline views. We even spotted monkeys! Yoshi and Hiromi were so kind and accommodating and made us feel extremely welcomed.

Opened in April 2014 after a thorough renovation, this ryokan features spacious guest rooms surrounded by tranquil mountains. It’s beautifully decorated and we love both the outdoor and indoor onsens!! The food is fantastic as well!! Service staff spoke some English and all very professional and helpful. I love the location as well. Very central and so close to everything!

Featuring 5-star accommodation, Ryokan Shinsen is located in Takachiho, 600 metres from Takachiho Shrine and 1.8 km from Takachiho Gorge Freshwater Fish Aquarium. This was our favorite place in Kyushu. It is small and the attention to every detail is exceptional. The decor from the wallpapers to the tiles, and from the design of the onsen to the gardens are impeccable. The meals were also excellent. The hospitality of the staff, in particular Kumi-San and Megumi-San, was also a highlight.

Offering free WiFi and free private parking, The triangle hub Miyazaki is located in Miyazaki, within just 1.4 km of Miyazaki Station. The property was so spacious and clean. The lounge room was perfect for socialising. Each room had an aircon unit. Check in and check out was done on a table. Super quick and easy. Pre- checkin Instructions were clear and easy to understand. We wish we could have stayed longer.
