Ubytovanie UNO HOTEL sa nachádza v destinácii Tamano 21 km od miesta Hashihime Inari Daimyojin Shrine. A lovely, modern hotel with relatively large rooms, every amenity you could want, an excellent restaurant, and a beautiful onsen and restaurant complex next door. Just across the street from the train station and a very short walk catty-corner to the ferry terminals. The staff was terrific, both in the hotel and restaurant, and did everything possible to make us feel like honored guests. An extra touch was free coffee/tea/snacks/ice cream and as much bottled water as we wanted. One of our favorite hotels on our 3-month trip.

The inn was exceptional, beautifully designed, quiet, and comfortable. The staff made us feel welcome, well cared for, and were very friendly. We would definitely stay again.

It's a pity we could only stay one night! Staying in such big, old house was one of our best experiences in Japan, something very unique and memorable. It also had everything we needed, so the stay was both interesting and comfortable. We had a lot of fun just looking around and admiring beautiful stuff placed in the house, such as mesmerizing kimono and even a koto. The area around the house was also very picturesque. But what really highlited our stay, was the hospitality of the host, Mr. Hideo. Not only has he waited for us at the bus stop, but also showed us around, introduced us to local cuisine, took us up the mountain to let us see the breathtaking nightview and much more. All of us had a really good chat, which felt as if the language barrier didn't exist at all. Google translate is really convenient! We also participated in tea ceremony he prepared just for us, which let us experience Japanese culture even more. Mr Hideo's great help and hospitality was something we did not expect but what really made our stay memorable. The night in this house became our precious memory and we highly recommend you to give it a try too!!

Ubytovanie Fairfield by Marriott Okayama Tsuyama sa nachádza v destinácii Tsuyama 2,2 km od miesta Sakura Shrine a 4 km od miesta Hosho-ji Temple. This is a brand new hotel on the outskirts of town and it is now our new favorite hotel in Japan! There is so much to live about this hotel: - rooms are large by Japanese standards - beds were incredibly comfortable with soft mattresses - there are two different height pillows to choose from - beds were wider than usual for a twin room - the shower is a proper tiled shower with room to move, not a modular bathroom with the shower in the bath - with only 3 floors, we never had to wait for an elevator, unlike larger hotels with many floors - we did not hear any sounds from other guests while we were in our room - the soundproofing is amazing - there was very little road noise in our room, and what there was, wasn't enough to disrupt our sleep - there is a partition you can slide across to make a wall between the bedroom and the front door, giving you that extra layer of sound protection - there is a communal eating area downstairs with free coffee (freshly ground beans), a microwave, a grill and an ice machine. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there is a Lawson next door, so we just grabbed a microwave dinner and breakfast from there and ate in our room or in the communal area. - the staff spoke English - the decor is wonderfully tasteful - value for money! We've stayed at much older and less comfortable hotels in Japan for double the price.

I really liked the solid hand rails on the wall of the Japanese shower. Solid elevator. Beautiful view of nearby mountains. I loved the food next door at the Family Mart 24/7 convenience store. I picked up toiletries at a big drug store just 1/2 block away. I got a coat and sweaters at a popular clothing store 3 blocks away. JR train station (Kitinagase) is across the street. Easy ticket machine with English option. Taxis available at the station. Next to the JR station is a pretty park with stores and food and beautiful lighting at night. JR train to Okayama station takes about 4 minutes. Just 3 stops to Kurashiki train station... under 15 minutes. Lots of fun and shopping and restaurants at Okayama station and in Kurashiki. Okayama station also has Shinkansen hi-speed rail. I took the Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka station and then train express from there to KIX airport in Osaka. Each ride was about an hour. It helps to get these tickets in advance at the ticket store at Okayama station. I specified that I had luggage. When I came to Okayama from Shin-Osaka, I was late for my Shinkansen train. They let me take the next Shinkansen to Okayama on that ticket... which was under a half hour wait in early afternoon. It was a fun and beautiful ride.

Ubytovanie The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Villa sa nachádza v destinácii Tsuyama 2 min. chôdze od miesta Tsuyama Wonder Museum. As expected from the Japanese service in ryokan, the comfort is exceptional. The staff were hospitable. The rooms were clean and functional. Breakfast had many dishes to choose from. My parents were very happy. Thank you!

Ubytovanie Touchian sa nachádza v destinácii Okajama 15 min. chôdze od miesta Kuni Shrine a 1,6 km od miesta Sci-pia: Science and Humanity Museum For The Future. The facilities were exceptional with a nice LARGE bath, plenty of room and a fully equipped kitchen. Owner was very caring and filled the fridge with delicious local food, including the legendary Okayama Pione grape. Will come again next time we need to stay at Okayama!

Yuki was a very generous host and very helpful. The room was beautiful traditional japanese style with a delicious breakfast. Very nice!
