Offering a shared lounge and mountain view, Rishiri Antique Inn is located in Rishiri, 27 km from Mt. Rishiri and 700 metres from Kutsugata Harbor. Beautiful homestay so got to understand a bit more about the way in which people live on the island. Room was lovely and the bed and bedding was super comfy. The owner was very lovely and helpful and went above and beyond to give me recommendations for things to do etc. A home away from home :)

Excellent location. Short walk to the Ferry and short walk to the onsen up the hill. The tatami mats with futon cushion makes for a firm bed! This is exactly what one should expect from a traditional Japanese room. Not a negative, just good to understand beforehand for westerners.
