Offering a shared lounge and mountain view, Rishiri Antique Inn is located in Rishiri, 27 km from Mt. Rishiri and 700 metres from Kutsugata Harbor. Like it is a japanese home, staying with the host. Gave it a very different, unique experience and vibe. The home has many stories and collections from the numerous travels by the host, Yuki He speaks very good English and makes it easy to share travel notes. With his vast travel experience, he can relate to traveller's requirements and willing to assist in making our stay as enjoyable and less stressful as possible eg booking restaurant, car rental. Tremendous help as locals in Rishiri don't speak English. The location is great, within walking distance to onsen - a very good onsen which we enjoyed a lot, car rental and good restaurant - Bonten and convenience store. We are very glad we chose this place to stay on Rishiri Island. The experience made it more memorable by Yuki when he cooked us a fantastic dinner one evening. Yuki has many talents, and he is passionate about Rishiri and ensuring guests have a memorable experience.

Island Inn Rishiri features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 27 km of Mt. Rishiri and 400 metres of Kutsugata Harbor. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful - the food was excellent with lots of seafood including sea urchin - good location to access Mt Rishiri for climbing and lovelly old town port feeling. I would stay here again.

Excellent location. Short walk to the Ferry and short walk to the onsen up the hill. The tatami mats with futon cushion makes for a firm bed! This is exactly what one should expect from a traditional Japanese room. Not a negative, just good to understand beforehand for westerners.
