Unsui 武雄蓬莱町 雲水 situa-se na área de Takeo Onsen, em Takeo, a 37 km de Huis Ten Bosch, menos de 1 km de Estação Ferroviária Takeo-Onsen e 10 km de Takeo Ureshino Marchen Village (parque de diversões). Our stay at the Unsui was most memorable — in a good way, of course. On a trip where many accommodations tend to blur together, we have no trouble remembering this one. The flat is Japanese in style, with the exception of a rustic European-style kitchen, and is an excellent introduction to Japanese living, especially for those more accustomed to Western-style hotels. It was a pleasure to have the space of an entire flat, with plenty of storage and all the facilities one might need, including a washing machine. Satomi and Hal made us feel welcome right from the start. Satomi speaks excellent English and provided plenty of helpful advice. The Unsui is located in Takeo’s hot-spring district — a charming town with several attractions and a great place to escape the bustle of major cities. From the balcony window, we could see a traditional wooden onsen and listen to its gentle trickle of water. With a little sake, one might imagine having stepped into the world of Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away. Our only regret is that, since we originally planned Takeo as a base from which to see other places, we didn’t spend nearly enough time there during the day. One day, we hope to remedy that.

続異人館 ZOKU IJINKAN Guest House localiza-se em Arita, a 20 km de Huis Ten Bosch, e fornece acomodações com bicicletas gratuitas, estacionamento privado gratuito e um jardim. So cool to stay in an old, traditional house, which had everything we needed. Owner was super friendly and even had some free pottery we were welcome to take. (And he had great suggestions for where to eat nearby and even left us some instant ramen to eat, if we got hungry.) The futon heaters were great and definitely needed when a cold wind storm blew in!

This property is so suitable for a family vacation! Easy access to the city center . Facility is so clean, a living room is comfortable. In particular, the staff is so nice and helpful!

Hotel Imari Aioibashi Bettei situa-se em Imari, a cerca de 28 km de Huis Ten Bosch e 19 km de Parque de Porcelana de Arita (parque temático). The room was bigger than expected. Also, the location is great

Guest House Maru encontra-se em Kashima, a 47 km de Parque Histórico de Yoshinogari, e apresenta acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito e um bar. I booked a room here as I was traveling to Japan to play a Pokemon Go event in Nagasaki. I had a wonderful time in this house and the charming, little town it is in. It’s like staying in a beautiful, ancestral home of a Japanese family. I actually lowered my expectations for a bit because it’s not a hotel, but even then I was surprised by how well-kept, sparkly clean everything is. I shared the house with 3 other guests who are also in Japan to play Pokemon Go, and yet I didn’t see a single strand of hair left in the bathroom, a smidge of stain in the toilet, and I didn’t hear noise at night. It’s family-run and they do everything by themselves. I was coming in from Fukuoka Airport and it took me a while to figure out the trains and the transfers I would take to get to Kashima and arrived late at 8:30PM, it’s way past check in time but even then I had a warm welcome from the owner, Mr Maru. He showed me where the restaurants are, which places to visit, where the nearest 7-eleven is. He even let me in the staff-only area of the kitchen when he noticed that I brought dinner that I needed to reheat from 7-eleven. In the morning I met his older sister in the kitchen and she made me breakfast. She showed me where Yutoku Inari shrine is which I planned to visit on that day. I rented a bicycle at the Hizen-Hama station which is just like 150 meters from the house and biked around Kashima, ate Mikan ice cream, until I reached Yutoku Inari shrine. It is an amazing place. In the evening when I returned the bike at Hizen-Hama station, I went to its Sake bar which serves all the sake this little town produces and I was warmly welcomed even though I don’t speak a word of Nihongo. I tried all the types of sake that they have as I knew I can get smashed and still find my way home because the house is just a stone’s throw away from the station. Overall I had a pretty amazing experience and would gladly visit again.

Arrived by car, so cannot say much about the location, but there is private, free parking and a grocery store is nearby. The check-in and check-out were very easy. The bungalow is amazing. Great furniture, very clean, and includes a full kitchen. Washing machine and dryer are also available. The toilet plays classical music. The bed was the most comfortable bed that we slept in while in Japan. A bit pricey, but absolutely amazing. Wish we had stayed longer.

O Karatsu Seaside Hotel disponibiliza acomodações em Higashi Karatsu. Os hóspedes podem desfrutar do restaurante no local. I had a great sea and mountain view and I had the pleasure of watching beautiful sunrise from my balcony. This hotel was more luxurious than I thought. The room was very spacious. The spa was also top notch.

Onsen is great also. Easy to access from Ureshino bus station. only 10 walk from the bus station.
