Each room has a lake view and is beautifully furnished. The Onsen are well equipped and you can sit in them while enjoying the view on the lake with a fresh breeze coming your way. Although somewhat limited in English, the staff was very committed to helping us in any matter. Definitely recommend visiting the lounge on the 10th floor for drinks (some are free in the evening) and a very pretty small shop, full of locally sourced products (culinary and small arts). After our evening Onsen round, the hotel offered amazing Soba to close the night. We took the breakfast in the morning and were not disappointed, as it features plenty of very delicious options.

The staff were really friendly and made us feel at home, the location was excellent and central, and the room was clean and comfortable. The snacks were a great touch after a long day of travel. We will definitely love to stay again in the future.

The old house had traditional japanese style and the house felt up to date with appliances and stylish interior. We very much enjoyed our stay in the countryside of Japan! Would definitely come again here. We also rented bikes for free and the host was so nice

Boasting garden views, 近江の町家 門 features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 37 km from Sanzen-in Temple. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Well located and the historic neighborhood walking distance from almost every site. The bathroom building was very nice and modern and clean. The main house building was also very spacious and comfortable. The bikes were great for getting around town. And I absolutely loved the private Japanese garden in between the two buildings. even in the winter snow, it made it a delight to go back-and-forth between the two buildings to use the restroom or shower. I would have enjoyed staying another day. Thank you for offering such a restful and peaceful place to stay. I enjoyed my time here much more than I expected. It was lovely.

Located in Omihachiman, 34 km from Enryaku-ji Temple and 35 km from Sanzen-in Temple, Guesthouse En offers free bikes and air conditioning. I felt like a true Japanese person here. It is so peacefull here and you stay in a house that has every Japanese characteristic you seek. I really want to go back to absorb more peaceful ness. Thank you so much, ありがとう ございます

Biwako Hanakaido features outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, 3 dining options and rooms with a balcony and Lake Biwako views. It also has a garden and a sauna, while the lobby offers free WiFi. Absolutely everything here is incredible. The dinner in particular is one of the best meals I've ever had in my life with super helpful waiters who will explain each meal as it comes. Front-of-house staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and will even send a shuttle bus out to collect you from the train station and bring you back after your stay has concluded. You're greeted with a warm tea and smiling faces. The room is beautiful, large and spotlessly clean. Private onsens are reasonably priced and very relaxing. Breakfast was also delicious and the nicest breakfast I had in my 3 week stay in Japan.

Biwako Ryokusuitei offers Japanese-style/Western rooms with Lake Biwako views, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Good location, friendly staff, good selection of food. Nice public and private baths!
