There’s also hosts also made great suggestions for places to go for dinner and trails we could go on a walk on. The breakfast was also delicious. Absolutely recommend this place for your quiet getaway to Tsuwano.

Situated in Masuda, 600 metres from Mochiishi Beach, ゲストハウス＆カフェ ハレテル features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Amazing view of the ocean (just a few steps away), with a double rainbow (because it had recently rained), and spinning windmill in the background. Included access to laundry machine, free items in the fridge, general access to the whole house were great to have. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Wished I could have stayed another day to enjoy the cafe and watch the sunset when it wasn't cloudy.

Clean, quiet, great food, staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, I loved the onsen in our room, and the self grinding coffee was excellent, beautifully decorated.

Our stay at 喜庵 KIAN the guest house by the castle was exceptional and a true delight. Located in a quiet alley in view of the Matsue Castle, our host Emi provided a warm welcome and was very helpful in suggesting (in English) interesting places to visit in the area. Our tatami room was clean and comfortable with AC and free WiFi. The kitchen provided a refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, tea pot and tea, a table and chairs, and kitchen sink.

Set in Yasugi, 26 km from Mizuki Shigeru Road, Shokinkan offers rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay the most comfortable. Would travel here for the food alone, what a feast! (tip: do a very light lunch prior). These hard working people and their outstanding building and surroundings really need more international visits. So, if you’re in the market for a Adachi museum visit. Please consider this ryokan as your stay. I would recommend a 2 night stay as you can explore the temple grounds and unwind. In other words; It’s been absolutely perfect. どうもありがとう。

Noren Yado Meigetsu, a property with a garden, is set in Tsuwano, 1.9 km from Taikodani Inari Shrine, 1.7 km from Tsuwano Joushi, as well as 37 km from Ikoji Sesshu Garden. Noren Yado Meigetsu is a traditional Japanese style guest house in a beautiful old building. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals were exceptional. The salmon cooked in foil was the best dish we have had so far in Japan. A great place to stay!

Situated in Matsue in the Shimane region, with Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum nearby, Ohashikan provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath. I enjoyed the view overlooking the lake. The room was spacious.
