There’s also hosts also made great suggestions for places to go for dinner and trails we could go on a walk on. The breakfast was also delicious. Absolutely recommend this place for your quiet getaway to Tsuwano.

Included access to laundry machine, free items in the fridge, general access to the whole house were great to have. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Wished I could have stayed another day to enjoy the cafe and watch the sunset when it wasn't cloudy.

Our stay at 喜庵 KIAN the guest house by the castle was exceptional and a true delight. Located in a quiet alley in view of the Matsue Castle, our host Emi provided a warm welcome and was very helpful in suggesting (in English) interesting places to visit in the area. Our tatami room was clean and comfortable with AC and free WiFi. The kitchen provided a refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, tea pot and tea, a table and chairs, and kitchen sink.

These hard working people and their outstanding building and surroundings really need more international visits. So, if you’re in the market for a Adachi museum visit. Please consider this ryokan as your stay. I would recommend a 2 night stay as you can explore the temple grounds and unwind. In other words; It’s been absolutely perfect. どうもありがとう。

Questo è davvero un ryokan tipico. Il personale è stato gentile oltre ogni aspettativa, e usava uno strumento di traduzione simultanea per parlare con noi. La camera è quella tipica giapponese con il futon da mettere sul tatami. Deve piacere. La vasca di sotto in comune molto grande e confortevole (però l'acqua abbiamo dovuto cambiarla noi). La colazione tipica era buona e abbondante. Gli yukata che ti danno per usarli nell'hotel sono bellissimi: volevamo comprarli, ma non è stato possibile. Il bagno in camera unica pecca: piccolo e angusto.
