Nikko is an amazing place with the nature, hot springs, and the world heritage temples, such a lot of things to explore.

Place had a really nice and welcoming atmosphere, the common room was beautifully decorated and staff was very forthcoming. I got to meet the children and the couple who run this place and we had a nice chat. I really liked the baths - it is valuable addition to this nice place.

Hiro San is an amazing host who ensures a great stay and goes the extra mile. He took us to an incredible thrift store (Harman) and made reservations at an incredible modern Japanese restaurant (Zion). The house is beautiful and the onsen amazing. The pillows and futon are best we had during 4 weeks in Japan. Thank you Hiro San!

Very comfortable, spacious modern villa with everything one might need. A lot of ameneties, small sauna and private onsen. Located outside of nikko, so car is required.

Guesthouse Imaichi ゲストハウス今市マチナカ is set in Nikko, 10 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, 27 km from Kegon Falls, as well as 10 km from Rinno-ji Temple. The whole accommodation is very nice. The beds were super comfy and were facing a big window allowing lots of sunlight. The owner is really friendly and speaks very good English, he allowed us to use the piano downstairs which was amazing. The location is good and easy to get to the train to visit the tourist part of Nikko. The kitchen is well equipped and the whole place is very clean. We loved the snacks provided for everyone. There are great cafe/restaurants nearby and a big supermarket all within walking distance. I recommend going to a breakfast cafe called Morinoshizuku!

Situated in Nikko, 1 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Shinkyo Inn features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. Very conveniently located right next to Shinkyo Bridge and within a short walk of Toshogu and Rinnoji Temple. Check-in was seamless. The room was excellent, with views of the Daiya River from the windows (and from the inn’s downstairs café as well). I visited in winter, but can easily imagine how beautiful the scenery would be in other seasons, especially during the autumn foliage. The owner couple was extremely warm and welcoming. I would definitely love to return.
