We arrived early for our check in after walking from JR Nikko Station which was 2 kilometer's uphill and thankfully we were offered a room straight away. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. The spaciousness and layout of our room was amazing.

The breakfast was pre-ordered and limited to 6 items per person (including infant). The atmosphere was really cosy and welcoming, it was great to have a common lounge to relax and 2 individual bathhouses for utilisation. There are some beverages and access to microwaves, oven, hot water flask in the lounge. Also, it is great that it had a small children section with suitable furniture. You can ask for the shuttle to a nearby restaurant but you will need to make your own way back. The bed and breakfast owner's family are staying in-house. So the owner is always readily available when called.

The beautiful wood, the onsen bath and the view to the trees. It was beautiful and spacious! Loved having two toilets and two showers too! Had all the amenities to make it a wonderful stay and wish we were tn stay longer! Would LOVE to return again and stay in Autumn!

He was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and gave us great local advice. Marie-san, his assistant, was also a treat! The room he offered us was clean and comfortable, his house is very charming. There is access to snacks, coffee, and cooking facilities. He is also located right off a historic walkway in a quiet neighborhood. We would love to stay again, thank you for hosting us, Hiro-san!

Situated in Nikko in the Tochigi region, with Tobu Nikko Station and Nikko Station nearby, Nikko Cottage Yurt features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The host is amazing. He picked us up at the station and gave us a ride to one of the shrines. He made sure we were comfortable and having a good time. He had a cake to welcome us, but because I'm vegan he even exchanged it for sake! This was a lovely detail. We'll definitely come back.
