Facilities like the coffee bar were nice, staff were exceptional and our room was very nice. Since the hotel is a bit out of the way, it is necessary to reserve a small shuttle down to the town center. The reservation system for the shuttle is difficult to navigate on a cell phone. I managed to book one spot instead of two for the trip to the station. The lovely lady at the front desk realized my mistake and notified the manager who personally drove us down to the station. Just Wow! We will be back!

Set in Nikko, COZY Inn Free Shuttle service is a recently renovated accommodation, 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Hiro is amazing, and we loved Marie the assistant! I can not recommend a stay at cozy inn enough. We loved our stay.

7.7 km from Nikko Station, Guesthouse Imaichi ゲストハウス今市マチナカ is a recently renovated property set in Nikko and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Very cozy hostel with welcoming owner. The spacious living room was a nice place to hang out and to meet other guests. I felt very comfortable right away. The location is also convenient, close to the station and only one stop away from Nikko. I can definitely recommend staying here.

Located in Nikko, 800 metres from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Nikko Nishimachi Club provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant. The Nikko Nishimachi Club a la touto is located within a short walking distance to 4 area Temples/Shrines. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers wonderful private spa access on each floor which can be reserved in advance (there is a nominal spa tax which is paid during checkout). Some free drinks were provided in the room fridge along with some simple snacks (chips/crisps). Bathrobes, pajamas and quality toiletries are also provided. The staff was very courteous and helpful, always using a translation app when needed to ensure a clear understanding. Local cafes and restaurants can have odd hours or closing days, so just be aware. The Indian restaurant above the nearby Lawsons was very good, as well as the crepes in the cafe next door, when open. A visit to the local tourist information center was very helpful. The hotel reimbursed our taxi fees from the train station upon arrival and welcomed us with a glass of wine or juice, which was lovely. They also provided transportation back to the train station after checkout.

Situated in Nikko, 1 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Shinkyo Inn features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The location was great, it was so cool being on the riverside and being so close to the bus stop and train station. The breakfast food was so good and Mark was incredibly hospitable and kind. He helped us decide what to do for the day and gave great recommendations. Was very accommodating to our travels and felt so homey and comfortable.

Situated in Nikko in the Tochigi region, with Tobu Nikko Station and Nikko Station nearby, Nikko Cottage Yurt features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We had an amazing weekend stay at the Nikko Yurt. It was in a great location and the host was so friendly and attentive, he kindly picked us up from the train station, gave us lots of advice on what to do and even left us some sweet treats! It was quite expensive for one night but it was very clean and in a great location. I would definitely recommend!
