We enjoyed the onsen with wonderful mountain and sea views as well as an ice cream gift after bathing! The host allowed us to drop off our luggae early which freed us to stroll around the temple nearby and the rest of Atami, all of the host’s recommendations! My friends and I used the common area often as it was filled with natural light and windows across the entire span of the room. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay!

Stylish quality, relaxing ambience and a wonderful room with absolutely fantastic views. Above all was the truly unbelievably good service / staff (at reception and in the restaurant and breakfast room). Delicious breakfast. But apart from the service what surprised me most was the tranquility. It was probably the most peaceful and calming hotel I have ever been in (and I have stayed at literally hundreds of food hotels)- not a disturbing sound to be heard anywhere, ever, despite many guests. Would absolutely recommend it.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. We love everything at Ouka. The host was so nice, the place was so clean and comfortable, convenient to go to the station, everything you need will be around the place. We would love to come back again if had a chance ❤️
