As a first-time solo traveler who was quite anxious, I was amazed at how the environment instantly put me at ease. They were also so helpful in planning my time/transportation in Nanto, making my experience even more enjoyable and stress free. I felt so comfortable and cozy that I don’t even remember falling asleep after my long day of exploring :) The food was also absolutely delicious, and I was genuinely sad to leave.

Minshuku Yomoshirou is located in Nanto, 43 km from Kenrokuen Garden, 25 km from Shirakawago, as well as 45 km from Myoryuji - Ninja Temple. This was a beautifull stay and great experience.The owner was with us while eating the dinner explaining the history,traditional music instruments and answering our questions about the village.I really raccomend this place to everyone who wants experience the rural living.

Situated 48 km from Kanazawa Castle, Daibutsu Ryokan offers 2-star accommodation in Takaoka and has free bikes. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the ryokan free of charge. The food, although modest, was excellently prepared. The room was the best in the house, overlooking the fish pond. The staff service was exceptional, but never bothersome. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.
