She went above and beyond by helping me dry my clothes in the rain and arranging our luggage transport the following day. These thoughtful gestures made our experience incredibly special. Thanks to Hitomi, the memories of the Kumano Kodo are forever etched in our hearts. Her selflessness, along with that of the chef, helped us discover the beauty of Katsuura, a hidden paradise. I look forward to returning one day and creating more beautiful memories with Hitomi and her exceptional hospitality.

We were offered 3 types of alcoholic drinks, plum wine, sake, and snake wine, there was actually a snake in the wine jar! It's located in the village center, right on the Kumano Kodo route. The room was very spacious. It was a perfect first stop on Kumano Kodo. I was so lucky to stumble on this guesthouse only 2 weeks before my trip, the rooms are usually booked over 6 months in advance.
