Guest House Suzumeno Kakurembo ligger i Koyasan, bare 44 kilometer fra Matsushita Park og 46 kilometer fra Wanpaku Park. My third stay here. Everything sparkling clean and comfortable as usual. Friendly, helpful people. A welcome, toasty room on a very cold day! Great location, good facilities, comfy bed. Excellent!

Located in the sacred Koyasan area, Saizenin offers simple accommodation surrounded by mountains and many temples. I’m not sure if I can sum up the experience in a few words but here we go: if you are looking to live an authentic experience at Koyasan, Saizenin is without a doubt the best place to do so. For starters, the monks and staff were so friendly and helpful, explaining each step or indication carefully. The person at the front desk spoke amazing English and even German! The rooms are so comfortable and big for Japan size of course. Ours overlooked a small garden and the entrance. One of the things I loved the most was the location, right in front of the temple complex. The food was delicious and had us saying “wow” with each bite. Also, don’t pass on the opportunity to bathe in the classic onsen, so clean and so worth it! I would come back a million times and I would recommend it to everyone I know.

I Nachikatsuura, 18 minutters gange fra Nachi-stranden, ligger Pension Sora, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en fellesstue. One of my best hostel stays during a 6 month solo tour. The hosts spoke perfect english and were so welcoming. I even left behind my phone charger and they were kind enough to mail it to my next location. They also drove me to the train station the following morning. No to mention the views from the house are spectacular. I really can't recommend this place enough.

Bare 17 minutters gange fra Tanabe Ogigahama-stranden og 600 meter fra Tokei Shrine ligger Comfort Hotel Kii Tanabe, som tilbyr overnatting med klimaanlegg og eget bad i Tanabe. The hotel was a convenient distance from the station. It was clean and staff were welcoming. Way better than Comfort Inns in Canada. Check-in and check-out was smooth, breakfast was great. Rooms were clean and well laid out.

I Shingu, 2 minutters gange fra Kumano Hayatama Taisha, ligger ゲストハウス柚, som har gratis sykler, gratis privat parkering, en hage og en fellesstue. This was my favourite accommodation during my latest trip to Japan. Such a beautiful house! The host is incredibly kind and welcoming, made my stay relaxing. Really lovely to meet him in person. :) He thoughtfully prepared everything I wouldn't even think of bringing with me. I felt so welcomed in Shingu, thank you and I would love to be back. :)

I Chikatsuyu, 3 minutters gange fra Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art, ligger NONAGASE GUEST HOUSE, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en restaurant og en bar. The house is an old Japanese house, with beautiful and clean design. The team was excellent and professional. The food was like a piece of art.

I Shingu, bare 5 minutters gange fra Kamikura Shrine og 700 meter fra Kumano Hayatama Taisha ligger 長徳寺宿坊 Temple Hotel. One of our best stays in Japan! The host was extremely nice and spoke English. We arrived earlier than check in and were able to store our belongings in the temple. We asked the host for restaurant recommendations and he went above and beyond to help us find a place to eat (the ramen restaurant he recommended was very nice). The free alcohol was definitely a plus, we had a lot of fun!
